"Great salsa. Heard about Sopapilla's from a high school friend who lives in Brentwood. She said it is the best Mexican in Nashville. I don't know about that (since I know Nashville has a lot of good Mexican places), but it is very good. Some of the best salsa I've ever had. Great chips, thicker than usual. OUTSTANDING service. Classy, upscale atmosphere. Everything is done first class. This place is owned and run by gringos, but it is very good and authentic. We split the three tacos. Shell was deep fried. Chicken was pulled and was very tasty. Black beans and rice very good. Appetizer was sampler with refried beans, chile con queso, and guac. All three excellent. We saw other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they looked even better than ours. There was a squeeze bottle with honey on every table. I asked our server what it was for. He said they serve sopapilla's for desert -- on the house. And you eat the sopapilla's with honey. They were hot and delicious. Just the right size desert at a Mexican place because we are usually stuffed. Sopapilla's is not a chain. This is the only one, although I think they are opening a new one soon in Hendersonville (or maybe already have). Highly recommend Sopapilla's."
