"I booked a reservation for my wife 's birthday. We had come to this location many years ago when it was a different restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We were immediately greeted and welcomed in. The hostess brought up my reservation and knew it was for my wife 's birthday. The restaurant is light and spacious and you can get a very faint whiff of wood smoke which is warm and inviting. Our server Key was absolutely superb. She made our dining experience really nice. Her recommendations and knowledge of drinks and food were excellent. The oysters were cleanly shucked and delicious. The Gilroy garlic clams were amazing (my wife is not particularly a fan of clams and she thought they were delicious). For our entrees, my wife had the duck and I had the ribeye and our sides were the cassoulet and wild mushrooms and potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and fabulous. For dessert, Key brought out a special ice cream with a chocolate happy birthday and candle. It was just a fantastic experience from start to finish and we will definitely return."

"Montmartre is our favorite restaurant in DC. We love the atmosphere and the food, and with half-price on bottles of wine, Sunday is a great time to go. We've eaten there dozens of times, with friends and out of town guests. We've never had a bad meal or even a bad course. The menu isn't extensive, but what is there is done perfectly. Book a table and be guaranteed a wonderful evening."
