A savory broth filled with delicate pork dumplings and fresh vegetables for a comforting and hearty start.

"First time back since they reopened, so we had our regular dishes to see if anything changed. Nothing had changed, it was just as good as the first time we were here. I had the the Pho with with beef #99. Regular size bowl with brisket, meatball and tendon. The broth was excellent and very deep in flavor. A hefty portion of rice noodles on the bottom. The fresh veggies(basil, mung beans shoots, jalapeños and lime) tied everything together. My go to dish. The wife had the vermicelli combination with an egg roll, char sui pork, chicken and a fish sauce dipping sauce on the side. The wife gave it two thumbs up. We also had an order off egg rolls that were well cooked and a good way to start the meal. Only draw back was the wife ordered a Thai ice tea and it had boba balls in the bottom and she prefers her ice tea more traditional. We will put Tu-do back on the go to list."

"I recently ordered two portions of salt and pepper smelt. I clearly stated at least five times that I wanted just the smelt, nothing on top. The server confirmed no onion and no pepper, but I insisted there should be none of that—just the smelt. When I got home, both orders still had onions and peppers. It’s important for restaurants to pay attention to what customers request, especially when they repeat their instructions multiple times!"

"We came here by default because China House on Theodore St. has yet to reopen their dining area. (Still great for carry out. Highly recommend their Variety Platter appetizer as you can eat this as a meal and share another entree option. We took home most of our entrees of Sweet and Sour Chicken and Beef Vegetable because the platter was plentiful!! Delicious!! Soup comes with your meal and was fresh and tasty. Slight issues with waitress understanding but take it easy and it is fine. If you can get there before 4 and order lunch it is much more economical with price for the large portions of food you receive. This is true of most Chinese restaurants. The Crab Rangoons are spectacular!! They use crab instead of the ricotta or cream cheese used by other places. Will return!!"

"Best Chinese food in the area! I love their general tso chicken, the meat they use is high quality (not that grisly fried fritter BS that you get from some Chinese places) and the sauce has the perfect amount of spice. The Lo Mein is amazing too, the shrimp kind is my personal favorite. They give you huge pieces of real shrimp and it’s not greasy at all. Not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from because I’ve had nothing but good experiences every time I’ve ordered from there."

"Unfortunately wasn't a big fan. The food was just very bland overrall. While Chinese food tends to usually run pretty salty and flavorful, both the chow fun and Szechuan chicken I tried were lacking in spice, flavor and salt. The fried rice also was a bit soggy and didn't have nearly enough soy sauce. Food was also a tad bit pricier than the average Chinese takeout but the portions were rather generous and the food came out very quickly. If you're expecting spicy food though, this is not the place for it."

"This restaurant was a huge disappointment. Despite hearing positive reviews about Everest Cafe's flavorful Nepalese cuisine, our experience was terrible. We ordered takeout and when we got home, we were shocked by the quality of the food. The crispy vegetable pakora we were looking forward to was soggy and wrapped in plastic wrap. The Daal and Tarkari vegetarian curry were in cracked and leaking plastic containers, making a mess. The food was completely flavorless, whether it was a Nepalese or Chinese dish. The meat dishes were unidentifiable and tasted like mystery meat. We ended up throwing everything out because it was so disappointing. From start to finish, it was a waste of money. The only reason we gave it one star was because the hostess was polite. We will never eat here again."

"Mr. Julevic, I had the most disappointing dining experience of my summer in NYC. The quality of the food and service did not match the value by any means. The Philippe Passion cocktail tasted watered-down and contained too much ice from only two sips. Mr. Denis exchanged this drink for the Philipptini, which also contained more than a respectable amount of ice and tasted just average. The Glazed Spare Ribs were chewy, warm not hot, and frankly could have benefited from more time cooking to obtain optimal tenderness. The Scallion Pancakes were just average. The plain Vegetable Fried Rice should not be called a vegetable friend rice having only onions and scallions for vegetables. My local restaurant makes a far better dish with a variety of vegetables for three-quarters less of the price I paid. While I received the Crispy Beef (this too was just average tasting and too much cornstarch was used to make the sauce that seized up becoming tacky like a candy/caramel) along with the Vegetable Fried Rice at the same time, I waited almost fifteen minutes for the Bok Choy to arrive. At this point of my birthday dinner to myself (I celebrated a birthday on at your restaurant, I thought the experience could not have gotten worse until the check arrived with gratuity already included. This was insulting and offensive since Mr. Denis was inattentive and unavailable at key moments during my dining experience. I had to ask a runner to see about the Bok Choy and bring me a hot towel and to-go containers since I was not going to waste this overpriced meal I could no longer eat (my dog ate the leftovers). It bears repeating that the meal cost was not commensurate with the quality of the food and service. I spoke with your Assistant Manager, Christy Huang about this bad meal and she seemed rushed and haggard. Ms. Huang was cordial and wanted to share the feedback I gave her with the kitchen but did little else by way of seeking to secure my future patronage"

"Fried chicken wings, shrimp fried rice, salt and pepper tofu, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable egg foo young, governor's chicken, and egg rolls are all good. Pot stickers are decent. Singapore noodles are outstanding. I love that curry taste. The Bbq pork fried rice tasted like the pork had gone bad. Delivery was quick, and the order was correct. The iced tea is very good but on the sweet side."

"If you're in the Tinley Park or Frankfort Square area, I highly recommend supporting this local business, especially during these times! After relocating to the area a few years ago, I searched for a good Chinese restaurant and was thrilled to find Sun Sun 2. The staff is friendly, and the food is outstanding. I won’t be dining anywhere else!"

"I ordered $66.00 worth of food that was completely inedible (I hope the trash gods are pleased). The egg foo young was drowned in a tasteless, watery gravy, and the beef fried rice was missing both beef and flavor. Of the four items I ordered, the sweet and sour chicken had some flavor, but the sauce had pooled at the bottom of the container. This was my first and last experience with this restaurant. Rating: -100."

"The menu selection is quite limited, and although they claim to offer delivery on their website, that isn't the case. On a positive note, the sweet and sour chicken is fantastic, along with other dishes. As for parking, it's a matter of luck to find a suitable spot at the right time. I ordered takeout for dinner."

"This review is based on our take out experience. We have dined here before and were craving some chicken satay. The food here is good and this being our first time getting take out from here we were very happy the quality remained. The time we waited for take out was average. I never get dessert but had a sweet tooth and ordered the peanut butter explosion! It was super good! The right amount of fudge and peanut butter. We also had honey glazed spare ribs, duck spring rolls, salt and pepper prawns, pork fried rice and kung pao chicken and crispy beef. Our only complaint is of the kung pao chicken. My husband didn't enjoy it. The flavors were a bit off. But overall pretty good food!"

"I tried this place out hoping to call it my new Chinese fav but it unfortunately wasn't great for a few reasons. The food was hot but the quality wasn't there. I had beef and it was very rubbery. I asked for some napkins and she brought me ONE napkin! She asked if I was going to pay BEFORE I was even done eating my meal and when I asked for a to go soda refill, she said it costs $2.50. I won't be back."

"So far my favorite sushi place between long beach and Rockville Center. Really fresh and tasty sushi and several delicious non-sushi options as well. Service was great. Prices seem pretty fair and parking is easy (lot across the street)."

"Did I eat at the same restaurant as everyone else? Were they being sarcastic when they called the food Vietnamese? I've encountered some less-than-stellar places before, but this is by far the worst. The bean sprouts were visibly old, and the peanut sauce tasted like it had just come out of a burnt microwave. And sweet and sour sauce with Chả giò (what they referred to as a Vietnamese spring roll)? Really? The chicken in the soup looked old and had a questionable texture and color. Was this even chicken? Last I checked, chicken shouldn't be slimy and chewy."

"I highly recommend this restaurant if you have ever enjoyed American Chinese take-out. I call it American Chinese because after traveling around China for a few months, I found the food here to be quite different from traditional Chinese cuisine in the US. While they do offer Asian vegetable appetizers and tofu dishes, what really impressed me were their Meatless Chicken options, specifically dishes #52 through #56. We tried the #54 General Tsao Meatless Chicken and #55 Orange/Sesame Meatless Chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. I am looking forward to coming back to try the #Kung Pao Meatless Chicken as well. I haven't had flavors like these since I was a child and went vegetarian many years ago. I have been living abroad for over five years now, so having these nostalgic dishes was a real treat for me. I hope they eventually offer vegan beef and pork options, as I think a Meatless Mongolian Beef dish would be fantastic. The manager confirmed that the dishes I tried were indeed vegan, and assured me that they do not contain any honey or animal products. I'm not certain if all their vegetable dishes are vegan or just vegetarian, but the staff is friendly and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. In my opinion, this restaurant is a must-try if you are in the area."

"Hon Kee offers delicious Cantonese dishes that provide a sense of comfort and home. Their BBQ selection is reasonably priced and expertly prepared, with standout options like BBQ roasted duck and pork. Home-cooked favorites such as Pork Stomach Chicken Casserole, Egg Tofu, and Pancit Canton are also highly recommended. While their seafood dishes are decent, we have experienced higher quality elsewhere. The service at Hon Kee is consistently attentive and welcoming. Overall, with a diverse menu and generous servings, this restaurant is a fantastic option for those in search of authentic Cantonese cuisine."

"I've been coming to fortune star for 20 years! the menus changed slightly in the run of time, but its still in the possession of the most friendly, most to the earth family I had the pleasure of knowing my whole life! they serve delicious, authentic Chinese dishes! their salt pfeffer huh wings are from this world. her hot acid soup always warms the soul! but my access is the veg chow fun chicken with string beans. if they're looking for their new favourite restaurant, don't look any further!"
