"This is the only place I visit for sushi in the area. They’re open late Thursday through Saturday, which is always a plus. They've recently moved to a new location; it's a bit dark, but the food remains excellent. I especially love the hosomaki dinner."

"The appetizers and the main courses were all excellent. In particular the teriyaki salmon was among the best prepared salmon I have ever had. The presentation of the dishes is beautifully done. Service could have been a bit more attentive. Count on having to valet park as self parking is virtually impossible. Although I had an open table confirmed reservation the host did not have it on her sheet. It was not a problem as they had available tables however, if you go through the trouble of making the reservation it should make it to the restaurant."

"A fine gentleman at Anima Mundi recommended this restaurant and I'm so glad that he did. The sushi rolls were excellent as was the crispy tempura. I was impressed with the quality of the iced green tea. (tea nerd here). I was happy that they had brown rice. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is nothing special(nice but not essential) but we had a window table so I was quite happy. Despite the fact that I live in Manhattan I can't wait to go back.Vegetarian options: I'm always happy when a japanese restaurant offers brown rice. The vegetables were fresh and tasty.Parking: we found a parking spot 1/3 of a block from the restaurant. meter didn't take credit cards so we fed it quarters."

"Honestly annoyed. Placed an order a couple hours ago. No utensils for my meal. No chopsticks for my sushi. What’s crazy is a customer named Jason came to pick up and I heard the server ask if he needed utensils with his meals. That’s how I know the gentleman’s name. I didn’t think to ask because why would the server ask him and not me so I assumed my utensils were with my bag. I also dislike that I was given soy sauce (which I don’t eat) but was going to be charged for eel sauce. The food was also subpar. I would NOT return."

"Our first visit was my son's 13th birthday. This is a cute little place that stays busy. I'd been eyeing it for some time now. Overall the food was good. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The teriyaki dishes initially all came out cold but the manager quickly remade each dish and we enjoyed them as well. Our server was attentive and more than accommodating. She truly made our first experience memorable. My only critique is that it was freezing in the place. I will return."

"4 minute walk after our visit to Maritime Aquarium. It was spacious and not busy for a Friday afternoon. The kids bentos for the kids were awesome. 5 different varieties of foods. My son loved the chicken. It was not overly fried. For the price it wasn'tbad. The sushi was good. The rice for the sushi was not overwhelming. My husband had the shrimp lunch special which was okay,he didn't complain. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. The fried ice cream was soooo good. The fried banana that came withit.....was ???? The only downside is if you decide to bring a baby that requires diaper change.....you're not gonna find thechanging table in there. Already spoke with the staff. Hopefully they will find a solution to it. Overall I would definitely goback again. ?????????"

"I celebrated my husband's birthday here, and from the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is exceptional, with attentive staff who anticipate your needs without being overbearing. As for the food, it is truly remarkable. Every bite is a delight to the senses. The sushi was fantastic, though I didn't have a chance to snap a photo. Kid-friendliness: they provided a booster seat when my toddler refused to sit in the high chair."

Some customers might complain about their service and staff attitude, though i can say that the staff here are super nice people, however, because of their culture or tone of talking could be different from what we expect, so we think they are not as respectful, but thats not true. They are very very nice, kind and rushing to help you as fast as they can! Moving and servicing all tables making sure everyone is satisfied ! "Ordnete Tempura dish for 19.95. What I got was a large bowl of dried rice with a few pieces of hard, fried vegetables and a small shrimp that obviously sat under a heat lamp. I couldn't finish it because it was just inconspicuous and chew. I politely asked the server who I could say was a young person, maybe a high student when that was normal. I saw how the server went to manager/owner/pick and asked them. The manager/owner/images, who sorted silverware, did not even look at the server and without a word the index finger, indicating that only 1 piece of shrimp were normal. It was quite unprofessional and even I felt bad for our server. Apart from the poor quality of food, high prices, this simple and short interaction I experienced, talked a lot about this place. You lost a customer in me."

"A wonderful find in our neighborhood. Tom Yum soup with shrimp was terrific with fresh quality ingredients. We found the same quality in their rolls and also the miso cod. Several tables that evening had the fried whole red snapper and appeared to be delighted with their meals as well. We look forward to coming back often to enjoy other menu selections. The service made the dining experience quite pleasurable. They were offering lychee sake by the glass that evening and would highly recommend it."

"My go-to spot for bento! Love their options, the food is always great and consistent, and the price is very reasonable. I usually go with tempura, teriyaki chicken and a spicy yellowtail roll. I also get the salmon kama sometimes. Very sweet Asian family that runs it and has been for years. Tonight when I went to pick up my food they unfortunately had a very rude customer that came in. She tried to pay them with a bag full of pennies and when they asked her to please pay with a card she started yelling and cussing at them. They asked her a couple more times and she continued to yell at them. When they asked her to leave she kept cussing and said you don 't tell me to get out followed by more cussing and name calling directed at them. Sad to see people treat their elders like that, especially when you walk into their place of business. Extremely disrespectful. She eventually left, cussing at them the entire way. I caught most of it on video. Going to definitely try to eat there even more now and continue to support their small business."

"A friend brought me to this restaurant during the pandemic one night. I noticed it while heading to an event on a Friday evening, so I decided to return for dinner. We sat at the sushi bar, where I tried a Japanese strawberry drink for the first time; it reminded me of a pink Starburst! I ordered the spicy chicken miso ramen, and it was incredibly flavorful. I also enjoyed the crunchy shrimp roll and the spicy salmon roll, both of which were absolutely delicious. I savored every bite. The customer service was excellent—quick and attentive. Even the gentleman at the sushi bar checked in on us to make sure we were doing well. "

"This was one of the first sushi restaurants in Miami. The original Japanese owner established a trendy and hip spot for delicious sushi. I've been a regular since it opened, but I haven't visited in the last six years. While the atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly, I prioritize quality sushi above all else! Unfortunately, the quality at Hiro's has declined to the point where even Publix, a grocery chain, offers a comparable option. I echo the sentiments of the first reviewer; this place is fine for a drink and maybe a California roll, but it's not worth going out of your way for. In short, if you truly enjoy sushi, seek out a better alternative. If you have trouble distinguishing quality, you might appreciate this place."

"We ordered delivery of two chicken ramen bowls from them. We were about 50 cents shy of the minimum order, so had to add a $7 appetizer that we didn't want. We chose them because they were only half mile from our hotel and promising short delivery times. We asked for our Ramen medium spicy. After 40 minutes, a while after food was due, I called to see if it had been delivered (since we didn't find it in our lobby). They told me driver was picking it up, and we'd see it in 5-10 minutes. So I told them thank you. We are literally a few minutes away. Still 20 minutes later no food. I called again and got the same promise as the first time! Ugh . Almost $50 for two bowls of ramen and a forced appetizer. When it finally arrived it was not that hot and they hadn't added any spice as we had requested. Such a bummer. I wish they'd make this right! Otherwise we won't be trying again! Based on our experience so far, I'd recommend not to waste your money!"

"Me and my wife were just in town, it was getting late and decided to eat something near by and ended up eating here. We should have looked at the reviews and everything before. I was a sushi chef for about 10 years. The ambiance was great, service was good, but the food was a different story. Shishito peppers were kind of bland with a hit of lemon. We also had the otoro roll and some sashimi. Sashimi could be better but wasn't the worst I ever tasted. The otoro on the roll was the only thing I would of eaten. The roll just tasted off the second I took a bite. I tried to find out why. The rice was hard and bland. The tuna on the inside didn't seem the freshest, mango and avocado were half way ripe. Between the tuna inside and the rice. I had to soak it in ponzu and ginger just to get through it."
