"This restaurant should be condemned and closed. First, I ordered from Ubereats here the fish and a stew. They automatically added more cost to my order via Ubereats without my consent for a larger fish claiming that the size of fish i had previously authorized wasn't available. When I arrived I asked about it and the guy at the counter stated trying to justify it saying they had no way of contacting me via Ubereats, and that they do this all the time. Then I also didn't know it was Tilapia because the description doesn't say which fish it is.But jeres the worst of it all. On the counter there was a baby roach stuck to the bottom of my bag. I moved it and the roach was dead. I told the guy and he took his ginger and just moved the dead baby roach back towards him on the counter. Then a lady came out to further try and justify this entire situation. I then wanted to open the bag to make sure no roaches were in food, which at this point is insulting and disgusting. If they have baby roaches crawling around the counter then how can I know its not in the stew or in the sauce? I can't! So now $50 is wasted because trust im not eating African peppered baby german roaches! And they gave me attieke when I asked for ppunded yam. But I won't be eating this bs and I highly recommend that this place be CLOSED until they can clean it and kill these nasty roaches! And learn how to communicate with customers and apps when selling food. Now I have nothing to eat! Wasted $50"

"the hotel is located in an underwhelming street-mall that they can easily miss, sits this hidden gem of ethnic cuisine! we stopped, fascinated over West African food and encourage by the excellent reviews: teranga not disappointed. the menu is mainly Senegalese, but has some really good Jamaican favorites. the dame in the front was very helpful and patient in explaining the menu and the excitement of favorites. there were not many patrons when we came in, but we wanted to stay for our meal. the place was full of people who usually pick up. we felt comfortable with the cleanliness and the expansion of the stands. I'm just very happy to find eating places like senegal. we like definitiw the diversity in the gastronomy of our city and teranga is a great addition. we had this lammed, but later a Senegalese dame that I met, said to have marinated bun so I can't wait to try. the drinks are traditional juices and they are an excellent guide for the beignets. my son had the seneburger! a tasty take of a classic they cannot buy any ingredients here, but next door there is a business with Africans if they want to give it a jump to cook something for themselves later"

"I was visiting from Mississippi. This restaurant was recommended by a native of NC. I wish had her name and number, so that I could say THANK YOU! This place was amazing. The waitress was so sweet and patient with my choosing and changing my menu items. She was attentive, asking each time I tasted something to see if I enjoyed it. I ordered the ginger juice, but it's spicy; and I didn't like it. The sweet waitress suggested that I try mixing it with the hibiscus juice. Wonderful suggestion that you gotta try! You will love the sweet, spicy result. I finally settled on ordering the chicken stew, rice and beans and collard greens for my meal. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the most delicious food I've ever had. And finally the appearance of the restaurant was very clean. And I loved the African-themed murals. I wish I lived close enough to visit Hady's again."

"Went here to buy takeout for my friends birthday And luckily it wasn't far from her house cause they got the order half wrong the first time. I called and they said to come in and grab the rest of it but then they didn't have anymore fufu by the time Igot my order again. I really was disappointed by that at first but the food was amazing. They accidentally gave us a whole fishon our first trip there and I must say...best mistake ever. That fish was so well seasoned and it honestly opened my horizonscause I'd usually say hell nah to a fish w the head still attached. I loved everything...the dibi chicken, djolof rice, themafe, and my soupe kandje... but that fish was the best honestly."

"I ordered my usual meal of double rice and beans with plantains. However, my rice portion was definitely not a double serving, and the plantains were overcooked, looking black as if they had been reheated multiple times. Normally, they would package my order in a carry-out container, but this time it came in three separate containers. While that wasn't a major problem, I requested that my order be placed in a bag. Instead, I was just handed a bag without any proper packing. Overall, my experience today was quite disappointing."

"Overall Thoughts: A homey, spacious restaurant with super friendly service, beautiful decorations, and a solid selection of flavorful, traditional dishes. The prices are reasonable for the large and filling portions. This is a family owned restaurant I’d always be happy to eat at and support! Food I tried: Yassa Fish with Djolof Rice (4.5/5): The fish was great quite boney and salty, but very tender and flavorful. The soft sautéed veggies on top added a nice kick of flavor and texture. The djolof was wonderfully crispy and wasn’t spicy but very well seasoned otherwise. Yassa Chicken with Fried Plantains (4/5): The chicken was pretty crispy and juicy, and again, the soft sautéed veggies on top added a nice contrasting flavor and texture. The plantains were flavorful and well fried. Maffe with Plantain Fufu (4.5/5): The maffe was good and heavy, with distinct yet somewhat subtle peanut butter flavors. The lamb was very tender, but I wish it came with more— there were only a couple pieces in there. The fufu had a soft, fluffy texture, and was a good pair to this dish for scooping up the maffe sauce.
