"Service was awful. Took 15 minutes before anyone took drink order. People who arrived after us got and ate their food before ours was dlvd. I asked our hostess and she said they were just busy. Meanwhile we have a 1 year old and an 88 year old....read the room please. I have never not left a tip but tonight I did not leave one. Food was great but need to train your wait staff. "Yesterday we celebrated a birthday at the restaurant with a party of 10 guests, including two children aged 6 and 9. Unfortunately, after waiting for 1.5 hours, our salads were finally served. I politely asked the waiter to expedite our meals due to the young kids, but he explained that the kitchen only starts preparing the food once the salads are served, giving them half an hour to get everything ready. In the end, we spent a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes for dinner, which we found to be an absurdly long wait. The food itself was delicious, but the excessive wait time was unacceptable."

"My wife and I love to eat here because of the quality and authenticity of the food. We just moved to the area and have not had one single meal here that we did not absolutely love. All the Chinese is perfectly authentic, as is the Thai and Japanese and it's hard to believe that they got it all right in the same place, but they did. "First post-COVID visit to the dining room. Parallax's provisions seem sensible no paper menus, all staff masked, tables distanced, ample sanitizer. Felt very comfortable. Only downside to the experience was that we were seated next to the kitchen more bustle and noise than ideal Staffing and attention we received were lavish (perhaps a plus of distancing), food delicious, novel and with beautiful presentation. Thai sausage extremely tasty and unique. Parallax reminded me of everything I had been missing under the shutdown thanks"

I ordered the tofu steak, which was a whole plate with delicious vegetables, mushrooms, a little brown rice and a few greens along with two round patties of easy fritttofu. all for $10, plus it came with a green salad. "this place has been well over a decade. it was always a fixed place for the standard vegan sushi (vegan roll, avocado roll, etc). about a year or so before, they added the vegan hulk roll that is good. they have different other items that are either vegan, or can be vegan modified: sticky frits, edamame, edamame hummus, miso suppe, ano solitary, mixed vegetables, and sautéed spade (used to spinat, but the change to spade). hibachi fried rice can be made vegan, just don't forget to leave the eggs. they can also be veganized soba or udon nude dishes. this CWE location is an ideal place to hang out, especially during warmer weather months. Note that there was a recent price hike, with some directed jumps up to $8 more!"

"My fiancé and I, as well as friends and family, go to Akashi all the time and have been doing so for years! They always have great sushi, and I love their sashimi; the best part is their rolls are BOGO! There was only 1 time in the 20+ times I've went that I ordered scallop sashimi (hotategai), and it was not very fresh, unfortunately but I'll still give them 5 stars because no one can be perfect 100% of the time. I also would never get a fried roll again, anywhere for that matter as we got the deep ocean, and it was rather bland. However, that's my fault for choosing something I already knew I likely wouldn't care for (it just sounded so good on the menu), lol. At any rate, this really is one of the best Sushi Restaurants in Raleigh/ Durham/ RTP if you're looking for amazing food while not breaking the bank like if you were to go to M Sushi in Durham, or even Waraji in Ralegh (no bogo and you'll spend $160-$250 on a date night for 2).. I've been to both of them several times, and M Sushi, for the cost, is the best sushi/ sashimi you will ever put in your mouth on the planet! They literally fly their food in on a daily basis from Japan and New Zealand. I will also note that I've been to 30-40 different Sushi restaurants in the Raleigh/ Durham/ RTP area so please rest assured, I am a sushi die hard and have even traveled extensively across the nation and even internationally eating sushi so you can count on me for a good, truthful review. Here's a couple pictures of our take-out last night, which does not do the dine-in presentation justice, but it was still delicious!!!"

"We ordered chicken hibachi, expecting a healthy meal with plenty of vegetables, just like you'd get when dining in. They confirmed our order twice, but instead, we received two chicken fried rice dishes with no vegetables at all—not even peas. The food lacked any garlic or soy flavor and was simply a large container of overly buttery rice and chicken. It tasted bland, like something you’d make for a child—just butter. We called and spoke to the manager, who said they made a mistake with the order but insisted that we got what we paid for and there was nothing he could do. There was no effort to fix the situation or address the issue with the food. Additionally, they added a gratuity for takeout without informing us, which meant we paid extra for the incorrect order that no one even requested."

"I recently visited Izakaya Takasei and had a mixed experience.My boyfriend and I ordered the takoyaki, chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl, several yakitori, takowasabi (raw octopus with wasabi), and the Kobe beef roll. While the takoyaki and yakitori were delicious, the chicken cutlet and egg rice bowl was really bland. The Kobe beef roll was a bit odd with the combination of garlic butter and tataki sauce. Unfortunately, there were also a few items on the menu that were no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. It would be good for the restaurant to update their menu to avoid any confusion or disappointments.While the food at Izakaya Takasei comes out quickly, this can also be a double-edged sword. During my visit, my boyfriend and I received several dishes at once, which meant that a lot of our food was sitting out and getting cold while we were eating the others. It would be great if the kitchen could pace the dishes better to ensure that everything is served at the optimal temperature.The service was a bit lackluster as well. The only time we were able to ask for condiments, utensils, and more water was when the employees brought our food out. No one checked on us throughout our meal, and it would have been nice to have a more attentive staff.On the plus side, the restaurant has nice Japanese decor and is quite spacious. However, there was no background music, which made the ambiance a bit dull.Overall, while there were some drawbacks, Izakaya Takasei may be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some Japanese cuisine. Just be sure to join the wait-list on Yelp beforehand and check in with the host when you arrive."

"The best part about Four Leaves is their well-rounded Asian menu. I can have sushi with a Thai tea while my husband has Chinese! All of their main entrées are amazing. Their ginger salad dressing and wonton soup are my favorite. Their sushi is just okay and a little expensive. The waitresses do not write down orders, so our food comes out incorrectly most of the time. I am not one to say anything, but I would hope the waitress would notice the PILE of cucumber and apologize. The atmosphere is classy and is far nicer than what you would expect from a strip-mall. They also have an area you can rent out for parties."

"I celebrated my husband's birthday here, and from the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. "eating was very good! the host who sat us was so helpful to explain his ordering process, it is all done on their handy. service was good and our server were very attentive. my friend and I hadn't seen us for months, and because the terrace wasn't crowded, we stayed up and just enjoy any other company. it was hot and damp with a small brise and after two refills on our water they cut us off. we had paid our register card, so I think they didn't want to be harassed by us anymore. the restaurant was not busy, it was about 1:30, and no amount, so I am not sure why a refill was on our water. I recommend this place, but try not to overlay her welcome I got a response to my review that I thought was very sincere. it is caught in the photos. so I added another star. next time I visit I'm sure I'll give it 5 stars"
