"Ordered and specified to not bread the chicharon de pollo. Guess what? They breaded it and on top of that, most of the chicken was breaded fat and skin. They did not have the decency of actually serving chicken but the fat and skin. It was not good at all. The beans were watery and almost tasteless. The only thing that were good was the white rice and the Bistec encebollado. Very expensive as well."

"I placed a pick-up order and they forgot one black bean. The bread had an unpleasant taste, and the lamb shank meat was tough. The chicken was overcooked, and the palomilla steak was very hard. On the positive side, the rice and black beans were good, and they included three maduros as a side, which were quite tasty. However, I've never encountered a Cuban restaurant that only provided three maduros. They also gave us a large portion of white rice that we didn’t order. Overall, I won't be returning."

"Small place.... But the food bursting with flavor... It was a happy surprise to stumble upon this lovely little place after my appointment and definitely needing sustenance... Great find, fantastic service small but offers suitable indoor seating to enjoy your meal, not good for very large groups, perfect for you and a friend, or maybe even two friends; lol... "We had been eager to try this restaurant, and today we happened to be driving down the street when we decided to stop in. We arrived around 3:30 PM on a lovely Sunday, so it was no surprise that the place wasn’t crowded. However, Jefferson was incredibly attentive and friendly. If you’re expecting fast-food options like Taco Bell or Noches de Colombia, this isn’t the spot for you. This is a cozy establishment where the food is prepared fresh to order. We started with the guacamole, which was delicious and had just the right amount of spice, exactly how we like it. We also ordered three empanadas, and I especially enjoyed the vegetable one. My wife tried the chicken soup, which was also quite good. The prices were very reasonable. I’m looking forward to returning!"

"This place fell short in everything besides service. Our server, Anthony, was great, but the food was mediocre, especially given its price point. There was a hair in one of my friend's eggs and the potatoes in the steak skillet were undercooked and hard. The breakfast sandwiches (we ordered the Broadway and Ham Sandwich) were both more bread than filling with not enough meat the ham sandwich only had a single slice of ham. The nutella banana crepes were good flavorwise, but the crepes were a little too thick. The chicken in the chicken and waffles was overcooked and the breading was hard to chew. Overall, the food was a 2.5/5 and the service was a 5/5."

"I had an incredible taco experience at this restaurant. They offer an extensive menu and provide a spacious, welcoming atmosphere with a trendy vibe. The full bar and selection of house-made hot sauces add to the appeal. I decided to try the mahi mahi tacos along with a side of guacamole and rice and beans. The tacos were massive, packed with generous portions of fried fish—so much so that I nearly regretted getting the rice and beans for an additional $4. The guacamole was delicious, boasting a strong lemon flavor. The fish itself was hearty and meaty, reminiscent of chicken, which was a nice surprise for a pescatarian like me. My coworker ordered the beef tacos and raved about their moisture and flavor. While the rice and beans were decent—not particularly exceptional—they were well-cooked and tasty. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal!"

"Basically I was introduced to Cuban Pete's as a result of attending a birthday celebration for a very dear friend. I was so impressed that I requested from my fiancee that she host a birthday celebration for me at Cuban Pete's. I've never owned a restaurant, however, I have worked in several retail establishments and I am aware that there is such a thing as A hole customers and nice customers. At my birthday celebration, everything was perfect. So what if it was noisy, I was there to celebrate the gift of life at 50 years. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as did my entire party of 15. The food is exciting the atmosphere is exciting and most of all the Owner was kind and friendly. Please go and experince a true culinary treat. You have to understand that there are some people who feel that they push the waiters and maitre D's of restaurant around. Four Stars to Cuban Pete's, I highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly go back. By the way please try Armondo's Beach Front Grill, Mango Salsa Ribs!!!"

"Mix feelings about this place. 1st I visited was on a weekday for lunch.. it was quitter and my friends and I had a nice service and to be honest the food was QUITE GOOD. I was very excited to bring my boyfriend to try so I choose a Saturday afternoon to invite him over. We went on Saturday and I was VERY DISAPOINTED. No body great us.. No body told us were to sit after waiting for 3 4 minutes (waiters were talking in a corner some of them).. so I thought ok.. we will pick any table... Being on the table.. the waitress ignored us.. we probably waited for 10 minutes... the restaurant was probably at 40% capacity.. but I had to tell one of them hey we sit here because no body greet us waiter said ok.. and took the order.. They brought the dishes but never brought the additional drinks.. at this point I did not want them anymore and just wanted to leave as we did not feel welcomed as a customers. I went to pay the bill and the drinks were in the check... they removed them but barely apologize. Sadly I am not coming back to this location... "Always a great meal! I have had barbacoa tacos, corn, Brussel sprouts, tuna poke and all have been amazing. Tonight I had the chicken tinga burrito bowl and the poke. They were both awesome. The specialty drinks are fine. I had the Jefe Margarita andit tasted like a margarita. Next time would probably save my money and get a basic margarita for $6 less. Prices are a bit onthe higher side but it is in Wayzata, so thats expected (was $85 for 2 drinks, 1 app, 1 burrito and 1 burrito bowl."

"The cocktails, food, and music were all outstanding. The bread basket paired with what I believe was cinnamon honey butter was the perfect start before diving into the empanadas (we tried the chicken!), and the entrees were just as incredible! I didn’t even catch the names of the entrees because someone else ordered for me, but the pictures I took speak for themselves—everything was delicious! The meat was incredibly tender, and the burger was massive and so juicy! As an added bonus, there were professional merengue and salsa dancers providing entertainment, and once dinner was over, the restaurant transformed into a vibrant club atmosphere! We had an absolute blast and will definitely be returning. A big thank you to Matthew and Julia for making our night unforgettable!"

"This was one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in the area. Revisited it today after 25 years and was pleasantly surprised to see upgrades done to the building and dining room area. The flavor and quality of the food were still the same. Absolutely delicious. I had the Ropa Vieja and the Picadillo A La Criolla. I think this is one of the best authentic Cuban restaurants in Miami. We were served by Raul and Sonya, who were both very pleasant and made us feel at home. The desserts are made in-house fresh daily, I recommend the Tres Leches and Flan. The cuban coffee with the homemade bread rolls is amazing. Congratulations to the owners and staff on your continued success. Will visit again soon."

"This place seemed like a gem hidden, the small tables the decorations, great. Now presentation of the food was very nice. I think the prices are too much for the amount of food. I had the mofongo con chicharron and steak. $38 dollars. Not worth it. The mofongo had no flavor. And the yellow cheese put on top not good. My wife had another mofongo con queso not good. We had better. My son had the spaghetti con queso. It was ok . We had the croquettes it was ok as well. It say I tried this place but won't come back. Parking it's the bronx, horrible. The whole bill $145. I had better, very dissapointed."

"This restaurant is my favorite spot! The food is outstanding! I especially love the Saltado de Marisco, served with fries on the side, that comforting soup, and the essential Aji green sauce—it’s hard to get enough of it! The staff is usually very kind and attentive. However, I do have two concerns: whenever I order takeout, they almost always forget to include my rolls. Additionally, I’ve noticed that when I enter the restaurant, Black customers are often seated on the smaller side to the right by the window. I’m not sure if this is intentional or just a coincidence, but it doesn’t look good. Nevertheless, I will continue to enjoy this establishment and plan to bring my family here when they visit from out of town next month. Just please remember to include my rolls!"

"Let me start by saying that I like Chido’s food. I wish there was an option for NO stars!!!. I always order the Steak Quesadilla (with extra steak $2.95). I didn’t dine in this time. Can anyone tell me WHERE my extra steak is???? This is more of a grilled cheese sandwich! CHIPOTLE gives more steak than this! I was not driving back to the restaurant . The manager had the nerve to tell me that THIS was extra steak w/o knowing what it looked like. He said that the next time I could double the steak for $5. Why would I do that when I’ve never had a problem before??? He apologized and says he will refund my $2.95. Not sure if I’ll go back there for a while, especially to place a to go order. I’m only one person, so they will still make money, but had to put this out there! Buyer Beware!!!!"
