"We were a local party of six adults, early evening on a Friday night. We ordered a fried chicken dinner poutine, a stucko burger, and four Friday fish fry whitefish dinners. The poutine lacked flavor and gravy. The chicken, fries and gravy all needed some salt. We asked for extra gravy and were given more without charge. The burger was burnt. Not just overcooked but burnt. The burger made it out of the kitchen, past the servers and onto our table with patties that were visibly burnt. Are they, “Marquette’s #1 burger” really? The four whitefish dinners were excellent! Two of the dinners had rolls, two came without. Our drinks were kept filled, and our food arrived in the perfect amount of time. Portion sizes are generous. The wait staff was polite and professional. The under seasoned food, burnt burger, and simply forgetting the rolls on two of four dinners tells me a story of undertrained staff. The restaurant has a sign that clearly tells customers that the 3.9% merchant fee to use credit cards is passed onto the customer."
