"I recently visited this amazing deli on a trip to visit my daughter at Columbia University. First, the staff was very welcoming and so very friendly. The food was amazing. I got the triple decker turkey club and it was literally the freshest club I've ever eaten. This establishment represents everything a 5 start small buisness should represent. I also visited IL Panino PIzzaria beside it and the pizza was absolutely delicious. This will be my go to stop when visiting NYC."

"Love this place. Been going there for 8 years and always have a great experience. The last two times haven't been as good. Someone decided to charge ridiculous prices for wine. I know that I am always going to pay twice or even 3 times the retail price at a restaurant for wine. Twice we were charged 5 times the retail price of a bottle of wine. Charging 55 dollars for a 10 dollar bottle of wine is excessive. I'm so disappointed that someone made this decision. There's no longer a wine list so you can even see prices. Service and food are excellent but you gotta do something about those wine prices.!"

"Maybe they were just having an off day, but the service was downright awful on the Friday afternoon we visited. Our very simple order took a long time to prepare and was missing two items that never arrived. Our waitress seemed very sweet but she vanished for long stretches of time. Normally I'd chalk this up to being busy, but we ate at 3:30.pm, with the restaurant barely half full."

"We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It reminded us of the type of restaurants that we visited as kids in the 70's and 80's. The pizza was great. The crust was perfectly made. "We were able to make a reservation on a Saturday night just 45 minutes before arriving, which was not a good sign. The food was mediocre at best, and the service could have been improved (we were given our food and then left alone until we were almost finished). There are definitely better restaurants in Babylon Village (and nearby towns) where you can enjoy a delicious meal with better service. (On a side note, the interior decor is nice, but the ceiling needs to be redone as it reminded me of old white ceiling tiles typically found in basements)."

"Visited on a Tuesday evening and surprisingly, they had a good little crowd, but fortunately a fair amount of available tables. Decided to sit outside, as the weather was perfect. Waitress greeted us promptly and took our drink and appetizer order, couple of beers and an order of wings. Wings didn't take long, and they were pretty good-meaty and not over sauced. For dinner we ordered a burger, medium/well, and a salad. Salad was fine, but i was pretty disappointed in the burger. I had to wait about ten minutes for ketchup, after asking a couple of times. I was a little concerned with the outside look of the burger that it wasn't cooked medium/well, and my suspicions were confirmed upon biting into it. Burger was practically raw, to the point could only eat half. Waitress was fairly absent during the whole meal, so we just paid our bill and left. Out of convenience, though, we will likely return, as previous meals have been decent."

"The dinners for our 51st Anniversary was amazing. The large lobster tail was perfectly cooked as were the lamb chops, risotto and creamed spinach. The beet salad was so fresh and gyro meat was tender and plentiful. To complete the perfect meal, our outside server Nick, was perfection in every way. Served with perfect timing,, suggestions and even packed our leftovers. He was so polite and very knowledgeable at his job!"

"We drove two hours for my husband's birthday brunch on Sunday. We had hoped to sit outdoors and watch the freighters go by. The outdoor patio was closed and that was sad since it was such a lovely day. This was not mentioned on their website. Our server, Tony was personable and perfect. He was the best thing about our dining experience. We won't be going back since the food was just fair and a disappointment. There were several choices but the fish was mushy, the beef and peppers were chewy, the eggs Benedict were overcooked, the bacon was too salty. The desserts were substandard. The peach cobbler was made with canned peaches, the eclairs and strudel were still frozen. My husband did like the waffles, roast beef, ham and breakfast sausages. Others had told us the food wasn't that great but we wanted to dine outdoors so we took a chance. We should have listened to our friends and family."

"This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure."

"Reservation for 12:15. Showed up early noting we were a table of 6 and wanted to sit inside. Staff indicated they could accommodate us. Then they proceeded to seat others and we had no table inside for us. So we sat outside (45 degree) yet they hassled us when we asked if the heater could be moved closer to our table. Went to speak to the manager who said no one told him that we wanted to eat inside. He seemed angry that he had to work on Xmas. Not customer centric place and be advised if you are a party >4 and you don’t want to sit outside no one there cares. One and done with this restaurant. PS: then they never registered with open table that we showed up."

"I need to preface this review by saying I am a chef. The staff where attentive and friendly. The first red flag was the couple in the booth next to us walking out because they where told they couldn't share a dish (they stated that they had been ordering for years and this was the first time eating in but to no avail) mind you the portions are humongous. My friend's chicken was raw in the middle and the Lasagna I ordered was cold in the middle, the side of meatballs we ordered where prefab (frozen meatballs in a a bag) like I said I'm a chef. The supermarket frozen section food that they serve is also outrageously priced. My advice stay away or go to Stop Shop for the same experience at half the price."

"A friend and I were walking around near our hotel on W. 40th Street hoping t get breakfast and came across this small cafe. We were so happy we did, as it is a gem! The counter staff is welcoming, very accomodating and helpful, not at all the stereotypical brusque New York waitstaff person. I got a crepe with ham and Swiss cheese and loved it, and couldn't eat it all. Got to take half away for lunch during my train ride! My friend enjoyed her omelette, and though they didn't have salsa for her to add as a condiment, she was fine with that. The cafe has a rather extensive menu and everyone can find something they want to eat there. Try it!"

"We ordered lunch through DoorDash for a company lunch meeting. I ordered a Lunch Bento Box with two items which I choose Chicken Teriyaki and Sashimi. On the menu, it shows 6 Pcs but I only received 3 Pcs! The ordered arrived late. I was not happy with thefood, the chicken rice were cold and both color/taste of sashimi just doesn't looks fresh. Also they didn't provide soysauce! I called back to the restaurant, the person told me it always 3 Pcs for the Lunch Bento Box and tried to blame this toDoorDash, but who gave the menu to DoorDash?!"

The bill payment process at the end was a bit uncomfortable, as the waitress waited nearby while we paid, even though they mentioned that the tip had already been included. It was awkward since we didn’t receive a physical receipt, and the small card reader still prompted us for a tip, despite being informed that it had already been added."

"We enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole and it was fairly spicy. Each person ordered a different kind of enchiladas and tacos and then we traded around so that everyone could try several kinds. We were severed quickly which would be good for people who have an evening engagement. Our only complaint was that it was quick noisy which made it difficult to hear each other at our table."
