"A hidden gem in Akron worth the drive even from the Southtowns!! Food was delicious and many of the dishes are house made pastas with homemade sauce. The chicken Marsala meatballs meatballs in sauce were the best meatballs I’ve ever had in WNY! I am very picky with my meatballs! My kids are so picky and my daughter who won’t touch meatballs loved them!! They begged to go back. Service is incredible! Made the dining experience unlike any other. Just don’t see good service like this these days. I truly felt like I was in Italy. The owner and chef Jerry came out and talked to us and he is so full of knowledge from all his travels and cooking experience in different regions of Italy. They didn’t have gnocchi that night, which I was hoping for but it’s only on Thursdays, so the chef made me up a dish he thought I’d love even more. It wasn’t even on the menu!! It was so amazing! It’s not overly fancy but it’s fancy enough for a a date night but also ok to bring kids who are a little older (mine are 10 and 12). I highly recommend! Chef Jerry is amazing and Hunter was the best server we have ever had! 2 thumbs up ??"

"I've been going to Artisan for several years, and I’ve never been let down by their drinks or baked goods! The staff is consistently friendly and efficient in getting orders ready. Prices are comparable to those at chain coffee shops. I definitely recommend visiting on the first Friday of the month to try their delicious cinnamon roll; the cream cheese frosting is amazing! I stopped by today and accidentally ordered the wrong drink through the app. The employee was extremely kind and offered to make me the drink I really wanted, even though it was my mistake!"

"Definitely not a bad place to go. Great interior, but almost too much empty space that could be utilized better. Probably very busy on weekends.Beer selection is good. I got the Moscow Mule Seltzer. I would say it was light refreshing but if you let it sit too long then it does end up tasting like just a room temperature seltzer, which isn 't great.I got the pizza it was quite good for a bar food place. Definitely worth the price. Not amazing but good for bar food since this place doesn 't have a large kitchen.Reason I bumped up to 5* was bc they had Trivia on a slow Wednesday, it was fun not too complicated or competitive. I did get a $15 gift card for 2nd place."

"We have been going to D'Agnese's at White Pond for years just the two of us and also with friends. We have dined in the dining room and have enjoyed the Happy Hour in the bar. The food is always good and a good time is had by all. I want to acknowledge two outstanding servers that waited on us in the bar area on 3/2/22, Marissa and Stephanie. The bar area got crowded, people were ordering food and drinks. We were seated at one of the tables and ordered food. Marissa and Stephanie even though they were very busy, they covered that whole area giving everyone great, friendly and timely service. I did have a slight issue but it was handled quickly and above my expectations by Stephanie. These two girls deserve praise for their hard work. Kudos to Marissa and Stephanie!!"

"This was our first time and we will definitely be back. We arrived early on Valentine's Day and expected that we would start at the bar. Surprisingly we got a table almost immediately. Our waitress Sara was absolutely exceptional and helped with all aspects of our meal. Everything from our cocktails to the tiramisu was so yummy. The calamari was very good. Our salads with the white French dressing was delicious. I had veal parm and my wife had veal Marsala and they were great. Large portions so can't wait for leftovers Just a wonderful experience with a real good bottle of Barolo"

"I’m from the area, but my mother-in-law is a local and Lebanese, so she recommended this restaurant when we visited with family. I’m not sure how it compares to other places with similar menus, but I was very happy with our experience! We started with hummus, which was good, though I wished they had more flavors to choose from because the ones they had were phenomenal. I ordered the chicken kabobs served with rice, tomato, pepper, and pickles, and it was amazing! The chicken was grilled to perfection, making it wonderfully moist with a fantastic charred flavor. I really wish I had ordered an extra serving of the grilled tomatoes because they were so good! The rice was tasty, and the homemade yogurt dip was incredibly delicious. I can't wait to come back here on our next visit! The service was great, and the bathroom was spotless. I definitely recommend this place!"

"The service was great, the atmosphere was great, the food was great. It's one of those restaurants that a family was small children can have dinner without hearing other customers trashy mouths or erratic behavior but it's also somewhere that a group of college students could go grab some grub and a beer and fit right in or colleagues having a quick lunch. The prices are reasonable not overly expensive. They have a bunch of flat screens everywhere so regardless of where you get seated you're able to see and enjoy something on one of the TVs. They have Keno and a full service bar."

"Great staff, delicious food and a really nice variety. I love that there were so many items that you don't find other places. The kale wings were a surprise show stealer. The breading is deliciously seasoned and they're somehow fried but not greasy at all like, you don't even need a napkin not greasy. (Order extra sauce recommended. This was my first time trying a hemp patty in the form of a Ruben. It was fantastic. I also took home a maple pecan donut some vegan carrot cake. I was really happy with both. If you love unique offerings off the beaten path places like I do, you've GOT to check this place out."

"Old, cold country themed restaurant. Wonderful people, vast menu, but they serve bland, unseasoned food. Salt and pepper are on the table, but I prefer this dining out scenario: Wow! Those eggs taste great! I wonder how the e got them to taste that way? -or- Wow! “Those tasted better than the ones that my mom used to make!“ The prices were fair, the portions were generous. If those are the two most important things, then this place is a great choice. Just don’t expect to say Yum."

"I absolutely love the Diner! The crispy hash browns are a particular favorite of mine. I prefer dining at locally-owned restaurants, especially when the owner is present. I've never had a bad meal there, and if I did, I know Louie would make it right. That's what sets it apart from big chains. I also appreciate how Louie greets his customers at the entrance. The food is excellent, the owner is friendly, and the servers are polite and nice. I always choose to eat at places when the owner is around, and I avoid the lunch rush. Sometimes it really makes a difference, so I try to visit after peak hours, like around 2-3 PM. I’ll definitely be back, Louie! I only wish you offered Grubhub!"

"I absolutely love this place! My friends and I were in Akron to see a band and decided to stop by on Sunday morning. The food was not only delicious but also served quickly. I really wish there was one of these restaurants in my town. If I could persuade the owners to open a location nearby, it would be fantastic! "Today is my grandmother's birthday and she told me she'd go to breakfast with the girls. I called and asked if I could get her a dessert and pay for it. The lady on the phone wanted to let me go and then come to pay for it. I explained to her that I lived in Washington, D.C., one was unable to get there. I told her it was totally okay and that I was on the phone with her and wanted to surprise her, but I totally understand. Less than an hour later, I'll check my phone and see that one of their friends sent me a video. These amazing people in Farmer Boy sang happy birthday and brought her a piece of cheesecake on her, but almost mentioned it from her granddaughter in D.C. This was the motivation I needed to come through my working day. It is nice to know that there are still incredible people in my hometown! I can't wait to check this place for the next time."

"Absolutely fantastic pizza! The only other place that comes close is Giuseppe's, which used to be my favorite until I discovered this gem. It’s one of the top five pizzas I’ve ever had in the world. I ordered a medium since I was dining alone that day, but when I picked it up, I found out they don’t actually offer a medium size—what I got was a large. I wasn’t upset, but I did wish I had known beforehand, as I was trying to stick to a budget for my lunch. That said, it’s the only complaint I’ve had in 30 years! I highly recommend this place! You won’t be disappointed if you order any pizza with extra cheese—it's absolutely delicious!"

"I recently ordered from Old Carolina BBQ for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the incredible flavor of the BBQ ribs and the tenderness of the pulled pork. "We've enjoyed Beau's over the years, but sadly, like many other restaurants since COVID, the service has declined greatly. For the past 3 times we've lunched there, they never seem to have enough servers and the wait for food and drinks is very long. The atmosphere and food are lovely but you have to be in absolutely no hurry because you're going to be there awhile. That's perfectly fine if you are aware of that before you go. It's a fine place to go with friends if you're no rush, but there is no way you could go for a work lunch or a if you have a time constraint."

"We went to celebrate our 50th anniversary and were not let down. The food was fantastic, although my steak was a bit underdone. However, our waitress quickly rectified the issue and the kitchen made me a new steak. Our server, Holly, was exceptional and we will definitely request her when we return. In addition, we received a complimentary cheesecake dessert to mark our milestone, along with a card and rose petals on the table."
