"When we arrived, there was only one person at the front, and he was busy answering phone calls while we waited. It seems that calling ahead might be a quicker option. Their popularity, unfortunately, seems to lead to longer wait times. Although placing our order went smoothly, waiting for our food was less than satisfactory. It took over an hour for two large pizzas to be ready, which is disappointing for a pizza place. The cashier only informed us it would take 40 minutes after we paid. We chose to order pizza because we were hungry and expected it to be quick, but when we returned in 40 minutes, our pizzas were still not ready.
While we waited, we saw them mistakenly give our pizzas to another customer, who later returned them. The cashier then tried to pass those returned pizzas off to us. This raised serious food safety concerns on our part—how could we know that the other customer hadn’t touched the pizza? We expressed our discomfort with this situation, and only then did the staff agree to make us new pizzas. Overall, we waited over an hour for our two large pizzas. At this rate, we would have been better off dining in.
The price for a large pizza is $17.99 plus tax. We ordered the Karahi chicken and Tandoori chicken pizzas. Despite the poor service, the pizza dough was fluffy, which my husband appreciated. However, the Tandoori chicken pizza was a bit dry, and we both preferred the Karahi chicken one, which contains cilantro.
In summary, while the food was quite good, especially the unique Indian fusion pizzas, the delays and issues I experienced make it hard for me to recommend this place. I might consider trying it again in the future, but I’ll be sure to call ahead next time. It really feels like a diamond in the rough. I hope they take steps to streamline their operations for quicker service and improve their handling of orders to avoid giving out returned pizzas.
[Update] The owner responded, suggesting that if my experience were accurate, they wouldn’t have a great reputation and implying that I was lying. This denial of my experience reflects a lack of integrity and sincerity. I didn’t jump to conclusions; I simply stated the facts. The employee even acknowledged that he was attempting to serve us the returned pizzas. When the original customer came back, our order was promptly ready, with the same flavors as the pizzas they returned. When we touched the boxes, they were barely warm, indicating they hadn’t been freshly made.
Confronting the cashier, he admitted he had tried to give us the returned pizzas, and only after pressing him did he agree to make fresh ones. I want to like this place, but I find it frustrating to be labeled a liar. I have given a fair review overall, maintaining a positive tone despite the issues. Denying that a problem exists and suggesting a customer is lying is not a good business practice. The restaurant is prioritizing its reputation over addressing legitimate food safety concerns. If you decide to try their pizza, keep a close eye on your order, especially if you see someone return with a wrong order. Unfortunately, without addressing these issues, similar problems are likely to recur."
