"As we were choosing our desserts, the manager approached us and told us we shouldn't be taking the desserts. We continued shopping, but the security guard kept tailing us all the way to the register. At that point, I couldn't take it anymore and asked her to stop following us, so we could shop in peace. It was clear we were being treated differently, and I couldn't help but notice the differences in our skin color compared to the rest of the customers. In all my shopping experiences, I've never encountered such a disturbing, disgraceful, and utterly unprofessional interaction. There were other patrons, not in uniform, asking if we were going to purchase anything, which only added to the discomfort. My husband raised his voice to draw attention to what was happening, hoping others would understand the situation. When we questioned the security guard about why she was only following us, she simply stated she was doing her job. It seemed her job was to target us based on our race while we were just enjoying our date. The manager didn't offer any apology; instead, he was just as rude as the staff. He insisted that the desserts were priced by weight, despite the clear a la carte pricing displayed. This store needs serious retraining. It was embarrassing to witness such discrimination in a place that should be known for its class and integrity. Instead, our experience at Gelson’s was one of the most regrettable I've ever had. This location clearly needs a new staff and a change in attitude."

"First visit on a Saturday evening and we had requested the patio. Excellent choice as we had a nice table for 2 in the corner where we could talk and enjoy our dinner. We brought our own wine and the friendly server brought an ice bucket for us. There is a $25 corkage charge if you bring your own wine, which is reasonable. My wife and I shared the proschutto with melon as an appetizer and it came with 4 pieces of cantelope, covered with prochutto, shredded nuts and balsamic dressing. Taste was great and it was a super choice to get us started, light enough not to fill us up but substantial portion to satisfy us. For the main course, I selected the Chicken Milanese, which is a pounded flat breaded and pan fried chicken, served with a slice of lemon to give the meat added flavor. You have options of what to have with the dish and i ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and grilled cauliflower. Taste was great (although Veal Milanese would have been superior to chicken) and makes a geat alternative to the usual pastas. My wife had the stuffed ravioli with ricotta and spinach and it was very tasty and she was happy. After polishing off our bottle of chardonney, we ordered their house chardonney which came chilled and was very good. To top off the evening we shared the tiramisu, which was moist, flavorful, and a great way to finish our meal. Service was attentive and friendly, nice relaxed vibe for all ages on the patio, plenty of free parking although we Uber when we have wine and we certainly will be back."

"Rating: (5/5) By the Old Gods and the New, this place is a hidden gem beyond the Wall! I ventured into Sugarfish Sushi, far away from the Seven Kingdoms, and I must say, it was a journey worth taking. The taste of the East has graced the North, and I couldn 't be happier. Here 's my review: Ambiance: Sugarfish Sushi has a modest and cozy atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape the chaos of the Iron Throne. The dimly lit, rustic interior is reminiscent of the Night 's Watch dining hall, and it sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Service: The service was as swift as a direwolf 's pounce and as courteous as the honor of the Starks. The staff, clad in their traditional attire, made me feel right at home. They even offered to melt the ice around my heart with their warm greetings and efficient service. Menu: Sugarfish Sushi offers a vast array of sushi options, from the classic dragon roll to daring White Walker specials. I tried the Dragonfire Roll, a fiery concoction of spicy tuna, dragon fruit, and jalapeños, and it was an explosion of flavors that would make even Daenerys Targaryen proud. Taste: The taste of the sushi was exceptional. The rice was as perfectly cooked as the potatoes at Winterfell, and the fish was as fresh as the snow on the Wall. Each bite was a journey through the Seven Kingdoms of flavor, and I savored every moment. Presentation: The sushi at Sugarfish Sushi is presented like a work of art, as if it were crafted by a Faceless Man. The attention to detail in every dish was remarkable, making it almost too beautiful to eat. But like an honorable man, I did not shy away from the challenge. Value: The prices at Sugarfish Sushi are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. A feast fit for a king, or in my case, a Lord Commander of the Night 's Watch. In conclusion, Sugarfish Sushi is a hidden treasure beyond the Wall that is worth every step of the long journey it takes to get there. Whether you 're a wildling or a member of the Night 's Watch, this place has something for everyone. The taste of the East and the warmth of the North combine to create a dining experience that would make even the grumpiest dwarf crack a smile. I shall return, and I encourage you to make the pilgrimage as well. For the night is dark, and full of delicious sushi. "My recent experience at Pedalers Fork in Calabasas was a bit of a mixed bag, and it is unfortunate for me to admit it. The charming rustic atmosphere, designed with cyclists in mind, remains a standout feature, complete with a shop, bike repair services, and indoor and outdoor dining options. The menu still offers a wonderful variety of dishes, including options for vegetarians and those who are gluten-free. I enjoyed the mushroom pizza, savoring its rich, savory flavors, while my friend loved the brisket. However, there were some disappointments. It seems that Pedalers Fork has shifted from a full-service restaurant to a more casual setup. We were not greeted by a host, and the initial interaction with a bartender lacked the usual warmth. We had to navigate the new ordering system – using an online platform with upfront payment, including the tip. The service issues continued throughout the meal – no utensils or napkins were provided when the food arrived, and our request for water was initially forgotten. When we eventually received water, it was poured into a glass that still had remnants of iced tea, diluting the flavor. The lack of check-ins from the waitstaff left us wishing for the attentive service that Pedalers Fork was known for in the past. It is disheartening to see a decline in what was once a standout restaurant in Calabasas. Let's hope they can rediscover the balance that made them shine before."
