"Dal Rae is an Institution and has been around since 1951. This place is totally old school, and in the best way possible. It reminds me of old, classy Hollywood with the overstuffed booths, dim lighting, piano bar and ambience. There is tableside preparation for their signature Caesar Salad and the flambe desserts, that you rarely see anymore, such as Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubiless. Romantic restaurants are no longer plentiful, and this is perfect for a first date, anniversary, birthdays, or just good food. It isn't light on the wallet, but the food is quality. We had the Oysters Rockefeller, which were the best I ever had. We also had the Crab stuffed Artichoke Bottoms you can have Crab Stuffed Mushrooms or Artichoke Bottoms, but Mushrooms you can find on other menus. Never saw the Artichoke version. .The Crab Stuffed Artichoke Bottoms melt in your mouth and were unbelievably good. We shared the prepared at your tableside Caesar Salad there is enough for 4 and again, never had a better Caesar Salad, made with their own homemade dressing, prepared right in front of you. For entrees the melt in your mouth Chilean Sea Bass was beyound comparison and the Prime Rib was as good as any place I have ever had. I was celebrating my birthday, and did not have room for dessert, but the table ordered Bananas Foster, just for the experience, and it did not disappoint. This restaurant provides an experience vs. a dinner out. Additionally, the menu is very large, and I can imagine everything is excellent. This would be my number one recommendation of any restaurants in L.A. County that I have frequented, and there have been many. This just stands alone based on the variety of menu, quality and tasted of food, the tableside experience and ambience. Too top it all off, the service was very attentive."

"You know what? The first three times I visited this restaurant for takeout, I didn’t have any issues, which is why I'm giving them two stars. However, during my most recent visit, the lady at the counter was incredibly difficult to deal with. She ignored my questions and even forgot my rice. When I asked which dish was less spicy, she just pointed to all of them. I tried to communicate which one was very spicy using hand gestures, and she simply replied that all of them were spicy. I thought, "Wow, does she not want to sell today?" Anyway, I miss the friendly lady who used to serve us; she always greeted us with a smile. The food is good, but that one bad experience really overshadowed everything else! I ultimately tolerated the attitude because I was starving!"

"Delicious. The service is great, the portions are big and the quality is amazing. I had the chile verde breakfast bowl. Mom has menudo. My husband had the Roseanne and the kids had a cocktail and chimichangas. It was all good. If you have a small appetite I would split a plate. They don't skimp."

"Love this place! Always friendly staff making sure they get your sandwich right. Franco made sure of it. I like all the cuts but I'm a creature of habit when it comes to #9 Club Supreme Mike's way. I make sure to get the giant size as its massive length gives me a second meal for a later time. If in a hurry call ahead. Has minimal seating, maybe 6 tables max but cleanliness up to par."

"This cozy little restaurant offers delicious food at reasonable prices. While the hard shell shredded beef tacos are a bit on the smaller side, their flavor is exceptional. With specials available, they are among the best I've tried in the area. The green salsa pairs wonderfully with them! Be sure to also try the chili relleno burrito—it's incredibly tasty and clearly made with care. The staff is friendly and provides great service as well."

"Found this place while looking through Google for something to eat. Had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered a shrimp, fish, and potato taco, a torta de milanesa, and some carne asada nachos. (This was for two people. The tacos were good. I think they could use a little less batter but overall, the fish and shrimp taco were good. The potato taco was a bit cold but ok. The nachos were good as well but had too much lettuce and beans so I'll be sure to ask them to go lighter on that if I decide to orderthat again. My favorite food item was actually the torta de milanesa, it had ham, lettuce, avocado. It could have had some cheese but it was justjust as good without. I will definitely order it again next time I decide to order from this place. The lady that helped me at the counter was very nice and helpful and the cooks seemed nice as well. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to try fish or shrimp tacos and give that milanesa torta a try too!"

"I had a disappointing experience during my first visit to this restaurant. The employees had negative attitudes, and when I expressed my desire to cancel my order, the manager insisted I had to take it since it was ready and refused to issue a refund. It's hard to enjoy your meal when the staff creates a hostile atmosphere. They seemed to think they were above providing good customer service. Overall, it was a frustrating experience."

"This was my first time at Steak and Stein, but I have dined at the other Clearman's restaurants frequently in the past. The menu contains many items found at the North Woods Inns and many that are not. The scallops were as good as the sister restaurants as was the baked potato and the cheese bread and the salads. There were many more steak choices and dessert offerings. The staff was friendly and helpful. With peanuts- no shells on the floor- a cocktail, an appetizer, salads, cheese bread, a combination steak and scallop dinner and Bananas Foster, my date and I found much food to bring home for another night."

"My husband ordered a large coco loco frappe for me at the restaurant. However, when he brought it to me, I noticed that the drink was very small. After checking the receipt, we confirmed that he had indeed ordered a large size. It seems like they had taken a medium drink and transferred it to a larger cup, filling the rest with whipped cream. Considering the high prices of the drinks, this was disappointing. The drink ended up being mostly whipped cream with very little actual drink. Overall, the food and service both received a 1 rating, while the atmosphere was rated a 3. The restaurant should strive to improve their drinks and provide better value for customers."

"Always great to eat there. Been going there for over 30yrs. Green burrito and the famous Mexican style French fries hit the spot. A true story of migrants who came here and created the American dream. I hope their kids are grateful for their sacrifice and success.. they left them an amazing successful business. "The pictures I?m sharing are two out of three plates of my order I got for take out, which was my first time and I will not be doing no more or recommend. I usually eat at this location and everything goes good and the food is good which it was this timetoo but with a few inconveniences. So for one of my meals I order the chefs sampler platter and when I got home and open my bagand literally see there?s only two full onion rings and the rest was little pieces of onions rings was disappointing. It alsosaid on the menu it comes with cocktail sauce, ranch, honey mustard and marinara and all I got was marinara. Second plate wasthe porterhouse with suppose to be tenders and shrimp and I didn?t even get any shrimp for which I paid for and like the otherplate no cocktail sauce. This was a really bad experience for me because I don?t live as close to be able to just go back andtell them and I guess I should of checked the bag but even when I was ordering my food the guy(andres) just looked cluelesswhen I was ordering. Hopefully this just helps with the workers going over the menu a little more."

"Went in on Tuesday 20th, 2022. Worst experience EVER! The crew was rushing me through the line, rolling their eyes when I asked for more rice (when they only put a teaspoon on the burrito) I've never felt so pressured when spending money on food! Any request I had they had horrible attitude. Then when I got there to pay all I had was cash. The cashier said loudly you don't have anything else ? You don't have apple pay? Sadly I told her this was all the money I had (as embarrassing as that is) . Again eyeroll, and is that it and shoved my bag at me . Next is napkin Tabasco area, the store was a mess to say the least, the brown Tabasco was out, I sent my daughter up to ask for another bottle while I watched our stuff (ours was togo order btw) they ignore. And ignored. And ignored . Finally after they had served the 6 people in line the guy said oh she'll get it, after literally acting like we didn't exist, she finally came over and again, attitude, opened the bottle and put on counter. I have never felt so unwelcome and rushed in a place I was spending money. Now we get home, the food quality, the burrito, they had over poured the salsa in the midst of rushing me. So bad it was not edible. Chicken was dry . And the burrito looked like it was for a child ! I never write negative reviews like this, I believe this is the first. Needless to say I will NEVER go back or order online from this store again. Ever."

"The taste on the food is bad. The kitchen staff were friendly but the cashiers need to be a bit more talkative when asked questions. The portions were ridiculously small to the prices, the pizza was both over and undercooked (This coming from someone that made Pizzas for 5 years for a living) the cookie was not soft and tasted like pure sugar, the smoothie and Chai tea latte had a wierd bitter taste to it as well as the tomato soup and this is the first place I go to in the which the don't add a dressing for a salad. I understand that at times it isn't the employees that are at wrong, but the procedures imposed by corporate that are what is wrong. Just keep in mind that it doesn't matter how fresh or high quality food is, if it doesn't taste anywhere as good as it looks, there really is no point. The only thing that we found had a decent taste was the Mac and cheese"

"First time there and it was strange, very expensive and just meh. The cashier was odd, not a hi, hello, or what can I get you. Just standing there. I said hi and when there was this odd silence I just ordered. I really wanted to try the teriyaki chicken sandwich, but the bun has sesame. So I chose the bowl. The sizes starting at 10.95 a small (this small is like child size). Selected the medium with no sesame seed. The oddness continues as he reads back the order and I guess they just say seed for everything sesame. Paid and waited. They were grilling it up fresh so it would take some time as stated. Started to really read the menu. If I wanted veggies with it, the add on price $4.50. so a medium (regular size) bowl was going up turn into $14.50 (more rice than chicken by the way). That is beyond insane for the three basic veggies that normally go in it... Pot stickers/gyozas, 10 for $10.95. This really expensive for a local business. The second employee called my order as the odd cashier was working in the back. She's really nice and friendly. Over all it was interesting to try but the sticker shock of the prices was out of control. I will head back to the family owner business I normally go to. This is a hard skip for me. Plus the odd customer service slightly added to the over all experience."

"I used the app to order my food, and when I went through the drive-thru, the staff member tossed hot sauce packets at me instead of handing them over when I had my hand out to put them in my bag. I understand that everyone has tough days, but it's not acceptable to take it out on customers. This experience reminded me why I rarely come to this location. Between order mistakes, food being left to get cold on the counter, and the unprofessional behavior of the staff, it's disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the attitude of their employees."

"Management should really consider getting rid of the overweight older cashier that works here. She purposefully did my order wrong and went skimpy on the ingredients because she was mad about it being a mobile order. All I asked for was what I payedfor. "Pandemic Review: 03/14/22 (I don't mind updating my reviews as needed.) The location is clean, and dine-in is available. I believe Wendy's offers better food quality compared to many other fast food chains. Before the pandemic, this place would often be packed with customers. However, during my last to-go order, I received a partially opened ghost pepper sauce packet, which was quite disappointing. (For the record, I ordered $40 worth of breakfast items since I eat a lot.) I'm glad to see that Gustavo is no longer managing this location (at least he wasn't during my visit); he previously refused to honor my 8 Frosty tags from a donation event. It felt somewhat discriminatory since I was the only one who followed up on this incident. I'm generally a pretty chill person, so there was no reason for him to treat me that way, apart from me being a minority in the area as a customer."

"i was in and out of this location in what seemed like just a minute or two. there was only one person in line but they were being charged when i walked in. i already knew what i was ordering and told the guy behind the counter. he served me up and filled up the box nicely. he also charged me very quickly and i walked out the other side of the building. there is also plenty of parking available here."
