"I have been to Cafe Portbleue on a number of occasions over the past 7 years or so, and to be honest, I've been a bit lukewarm about the place. Possibly, as an English visitor, I've wanted something more authentically French and it's had too much of an English feel about it, not least because the waiting staff tended to be English and the food was ok but not outstanding . However after my recent experience, my view has changed. An excellent meal...my cod loin was cooked to perfection and my cafe gourmand delicious. Kir Royale as an aperitif, reasonably priced wine , good service from French staff. All in all, an excellent dining experience. Highly recommended!"
