"Short and sweet: the best sushi I have ever had Long and sour: everything about the experience was perfect. Located near Naperville and right next to plenty of other restaurants and stores so it makes it easy to multitask and knock out two birds with one stone. The restaurant itself has a cozy interior with booth seating to make it feel more welcoming. There is also a patio with a rain cover so that you can take advantage when the weather is nice. The service we received was phenomenal. A very friendly hostess showed us to our table before we met our server. She gave us great recommendations and took our tastes into consideration. She also stopped by multiple times to fill out water, make sure everything was good, and take away dirty plates. Finally, the best part, the food. It 's hard to explain with words what the tongue can taste but I will try. I 'm not the biggest sushi snob but I can appreciate a good piece of maki when I taste it. We got the chef soon special, smoky bear, something with mango, and a shrimp tempura roll because I always have to try it. It 's hard to rank such good food from worst to best so I will go from good to great. Unsurprisingly, the one I choose instead of having the server choose for me, was the good one. It has smoked salmon on top but I think there was a little bit too much cream cheese inside. It was still better than any other roll I have had but a great roll can 't have cream cheese, let alone enough to slightly overpower the roll. The presentation was great with thin but wide pieces of salmon on top with a sauce drizzled on the side to let the customer choose. Smoked salmon roll 6.8 Secondly is the shrimp tempura roll. The top three rolls were all so close but just like cream cheese in the smoky bear, a great roll can 't have shrimp tempura. I still love shrimp tempura but that is because it 's hard to mess it up, and it tastes good, but is not authentic sushi. It had some flsort of white crunchy bits around the roll that enhanced the texture but the flavor is where it rose to the top. It didn 't taste much like normal shrimp tempura so I could tell it was a higher quality than what you get anywhere else. Just like the other roll, it had a great sauce on the side. Shrimp tempura 8.1 In second place was the mango roll. I call it the mango roll because it had mango on top but you can find out exactly what is in each roll by looking at their menu online. The roll itself was great, but I am a huge fan of mango and fruit, especially on sushi so this one had high expectations. It perfectly met those expectations. As the tiny diced mango never tore apart the roll, slid off, or overpowered the fish. If you are new to fruit on sushi, I highly recommend this one. It also had a bit of spice but the perfect amount where it was just a bit after you already ate the piece of sushi. Mango roll 8.6 Last but certainly not least... The chef soon signature roll. Listed first on the speciality rolls menu, it did not disappoint. I usually prefer salmon over tuna but this roll has singlehandedly changed my mind. The presentation was very demure. It knew where to fit in and it knew where to stand out. The interior of the roll looked very basic, just yellowfin and some accessories but the top lured you in with some edible flowers that have a little flare to an otherwise, standard looking maki roll. The first bite was the same as the last... Perfect. I could eat this roll every single day for the rest of my life and not get sick, unlike some of the distinct flavors in smoked salmon, mango, and shrimp tempura. It executed a pretty basic recipe to perfection. The rice was fluffy yet dense enough to hold the roll together. The nori was almost invisible to my mouth and let the tuna talk. The way I described it in person was creamy , but in the best way. That must have been a good piece of fish because it was the equivalent of a nice marbled piece of steak with the rendered fat that melts in your mouth like butter. Also a great lemony juice that balanced the richness of the fish. Tuna 10/10 perfect."

"appendage as ironic this was back after the Kovid edition and tried the steak burrito suizo and must admit it was very delicious. crisp outer shell soft inner shell and not all greasy with over boiled meat. they have added the fries to the menu (can I just want to know) instead of the rice and roasted beef, have a try. fries the week his fries lol. staff at the bar always friendly and attentive. I raised my criticism when I felt the meat had a little more taste than the last time that I was here my friend had the regular burrito and had no complaining, but he will eat everything...snort 020120 I tried to see this place again after many years what I thought. it's a chain and another place in palatine I didn't know about. this place is located in a strange location, a stripe shopping center behind a mobile tank and an arby’s, so I am sure that many people do not see it because of lack of signage and lighting in the night. the parking space is not huge and a bit risky with arby’s car-dru traffic and the whole stripe-mask only illuminated by the open shops in front windows. and the entrance can be tricky to find. the restaurant has actually increased less than a year ago and now has a dining area and a bar. the part was lighting inside, much too bright, the necessary to put soft white lamps. we had a good idea, a escape free with the purchase of one with two drinks the personal was very friendly and we were served quite fast, they start them with chips and salsa, if they asked themselves my friend has the tacos you see on the photos, and he thought they were good. I got the chimichanga dinner and it was okay, I personally thought it was missing in taste especially in the meat department, it had more of a brewed taste and very little cheese. I also thought the chimichanga was a tough fat and the bowl had no crunching and was soggy. . I was unfortunately not interested in the buzzing myself that they had no taste, I am in the fan of the buzzing or black. the rice was delicious. the meal was not terrible and because of the good certificate made it better, but unfortunately I feel the prices are a tad high for the food and atmosphere her experience."

"We had made a reservation for 15 people at 7 PM to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived right on time and were seated immediately. We placed our orders for food and drinks at 7:05 PM, and while we received our drinks by 7:10 PM, we were still waiting for our food. By 7:30 PM, we asked our waiter for an update, and he informed us that our meals would take another 20 minutes. We noticed that two tables seated after us had already ordered and received their food within 10 minutes. Assuming the delay was due to the size of our party, we decided to wait a little longer. However, by 8:00 PM, we could see that the two tables behind us were almost finished eating while we still hadn't received our meals. At 8:30 PM, with the restaurant set to close soon, I asked the waiter to speak with his manager. The "manager" came upstairs, and when I told him we were leaving due to the wait, he apologized and said our food was on its way, citing a "glitch" in their system. As I looked over at the tables behind us, I realized they had ordered the same platters as we did, which made me suspect that our food had been mistakenly served to them. We received no apology for the delay, no offer of appetizers while we waited—nothing. The only reason we stayed was because we had reservations elsewhere and worried we wouldn't have enough time to be seated and served at another restaurant before our next commitment. When the time came to pay, we were not offered any compensation and were required to pay full price for a meal that was mediocre at best. The so-called manager claimed he couldn't authorize any discount or compensation because he was not the actual manager. To make matters worse, the rice was undercooked, the BBQ was extremely dry and overcooked, and everything tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you’re planning a large birthday party or gathering. You will experience terrible service, wait an unreasonable amount of time for mediocre food, and still be required to pay full price after waiting an hour and a half for your meal. I called the restaurant today to express my concerns, but I was told that there was no manager or owner available to speak with me. I plan to call again later to try to reach someone in charge."

"I was welcomed by a friendly host at the front desk, setting a promising tone. However, the person who actually seated me barely acknowledged my presence—no greeting, no pleasantries—just a silent menu drop before walking away. Later in the evening, I noticed him checking on another table while completely ignoring mine. At that point, I couldn’t help but feel there was some unspoken tension between us. Luckily, my server Maya was the redeeming factor of the night. She was attentive, friendly, and proactive, ensuring my needs were met despite the restaurant’s shortcomings. The meal started on an odd note with Panini bread instead of dinner rolls—an unconventional choice for a steakhouse. Making matters worse, the butter arrived in a plastic container, a detail that felt more like a casual diner than an upscale establishment. The side salad was uninspired at best—a handful of mesclun greens with a few sliced carrots but not even a single tomato. It lacked any sense of care or presentation, and once again, the dressing came in a plastic container—another unrefined touch that took away from the experience. The cream of potato soup was one of the better items of the night—smooth and creamy, though it was noticeably light on actual potatoes. Then came the steak, which should have been the highlight of the meal. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, yet completely devoid of seasoning. No salt, no flavor—just a bland piece of meat that failed to deliver any depth. To make matters worse, the broccoli was overcooked, turning what should have been a fresh, crisp side into a mushy disappointment. The biggest failure of the evening, however, was my Old Fashioned, which tasted like water. A good steakhouse should at least be able to craft a decent cocktail, and this one fell far below expectations. Thankfully, Maya’s excellent service was the one bright spot in an otherwise forgettable meal. While she did her best to make the evening enjoyable, it’s hard to overlook the inconsistencies in both food and service. Jameson Charhouse has potential, but without more attention to detail, it struggles to justify itself as a good steakhouse. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"
