"We visited this restaurant almost two years ago for lunch, and the Prime Rib Sandwich served to us was so unappetizing that we couldn't bring ourselves to eat, taste, or even pay for it! On a recent trip to Vernal, we decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, the food was still overwhelmed with an excessive amount of spices and especially cheese, giving the impression that the chef had just come from Chuck E. Cheese. The Queso Blanco was decent, but the tortilla chips were so burnt that they seemed like they had just returned from outer space. While reading through some reviews, I came across one woman who praised this place as the best in town. If you have the palate of a wild hog, you might agree with her. We travel from Naples, Florida to Seattle, WA twice a year, and I can confidently say that Swain Brothers serves some of the worst food we've encountered along the way."

"Betty 's Cafe. If you are looking for a classic homespun breakfast or lunch diner-style restaurant closes at 2pm everyday, currently) you have found it. You can order breakfast or lunch anytime of the day they are open. The bonus is the service and the quality and preparation of the menu items. I was served the largest and tastiest sausage patty ever! also note that the ham steaks are gigantic and perfectly cooked). The menu offers all the usual suspects for breakfast, but in addition a few stand out. 'The Outlaw ' breakfast platter is a classic. It is a hamburger steak, 2 eggs, fried potatoes, either a biscuit, toast or pancake I would suggest the pancake, as they are perfect). With 'The Outlaw ' you have a choice of white or brown gravy or the off-menu option of mixed). Another star on the menu is the in-house made Cinnamon Rolls. You will need help eating this one for sure. Beautiful icing and the right amount of cinnamon in the flakey pastry. It is huuuge. To be sure the menu has omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, steaks, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito and various sides. If you want lunch, you will be happy too. Pork chops, sirloin steak, chicken fried steak, burgers, BLTs, fish chips, Navajo tacos, salads and mashed potatoes, fried potatoes or french fries. Home soups and chili are some of the best you can get. All soups are also served with a homemade scone. Great lunches. It is hard to say how much I recommend Betty 's Cafe. If you are in the area and do not eat here, do so at your own peril. Great job to the staff and ownership at Betty 's Cafe. Your pride in quality of food, attention to detail on cleanliness and world class service shined bright. Thanks for a great experience. KUDOS!!!"

"I ordered a Turkey Bacon Pesto Sandwich and it smelt and looked wonderful but with the first bite the nearly raw bacon was so off putting I could not finish. Now I am not one of those people who has to have burnt bacon for it to be considered cooked. I am a med rare steak eating foodie and this was my first and last time eating here. As I went to leave I only wanted to let them know that the bacon needed longer in the broiler and was in no way looking for anything free. When I informed the gentleman who came out of the kitchen to help me at the counter about said bacon and that it made me nauseous he just said ?oh. Yeah? Ok. Sorry bye? so I left and doubt I will ever return. Customer service was lacking. I only took the single bite of my food I paid my hard earned money for. Not making that mistake twice at this establishment."

"Some of the BEST pizza I have ever had (pistachio pesto pizza). Also great cheesy garlic bread. Unfortunately it had some of the worst service I have ever seen. They brought pizza with no plates to eat, didn’t check on us the whole time, no water refills, and both the pizzas we ordered are indicated to have basil on the menu and each had 1 small piece when we requested the basil they charged additionally for it. The pizza is so good but it would be much better for take out there is a nice park and picnic table just outside I wish we had used instead of dining in."

"Let me start with the positives. Abby's Restaurant boasts a high level of cleanliness and a well-maintained environment, which makes for an inviting dining experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Dave particularly stood out with his charm and helpfulness, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm faded somewhat when I ordered the eggs benedict. This dish did not live up to my expectations. The hollandaise sauce tasted as if it were store-bought and left a somewhat bitter aftertaste. A homemade hollandaise can really elevate eggs benedict, but this version missed the mark. Additionally, the muffin used for the dish also seemed to be store-bought, lacking the freshness and homemade quality that would have made a difference. However, on a positive note, the egg was cooked perfectly, which was a redeeming factor for the dish. While the eggs benedict could definitely use some improvement, it didn’t ruin the overall dining experience. Abby's Restaurant deserves praise for its cleanliness, attentive staff, and the effort they put into other menu items. It would be great to see more focus on the quality and freshness of ingredients in dishes like the eggs benedict to ensure consistency across the menu."
