"Bottom line: Do not go here. The restaurant is extremely snobby, which would be OK if the food was good. Everyone in my party had overcooked steaks, including mine. I ordered the blackened ribeye, but they dumped a flavorless gravy on top, washing off all the seasoning. When I asked for A1 sauce, the waitress seemed offended. Sides included overcooked gnocchi, also covered in the same bland sauce. They added chopped asparagus to my plate with the inedible fibrous ends. Lucky me. Knowing a NY strip is tougher, someone in my group asked the waitress if theirs was tender. She said, yes, ours is very tender. So, they ordered it, thinking it was marinated, but it came out so tough you couldn 't even stab it with a fork. We mentioned it to the waitress, and she brushed it off, saying, yes, NY strip is a tough cut, then immediately darted away. Excuse me?? You just told us the opposite. If you want a good steak, or a good meal in general, I highly recommend the Animas Grille or a drive to Silverton 's Lacey Rose Saloon. (Lacey 's had the best ribeye and filet I 've had in a long time. Everything at Animas was perfectly cooked and especially the salmon."

We have been coming here for every Wedding Anniversary because the past years has been the best service making the day very special for us. This year was the worst. The food is delicious as always, but the service was a disappointment. Ver carta

Filet Mignon was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. The flourless chocolate dessert was incredibly decadent. This place used to be Ken and Sue's and it has not lost its charm or quality. A great stop for casual fine dining...don't forget to make reservations.

First time here on a whim. Food was great, server was nice enough and as expected, restaurant was fairly small and a little on the loud side. Hostess sat us with the stipulation that another party would be coming in at 7:30... uh, okay. I suppose their money is more green than mine. Give it a try you may be surprised!

I have never encountered a restaurant that enforces a strict time limit for diners. Our group was repeatedly informed by the server that she had another large party scheduled after us, which pressured us to order our food and desserts quickly so we could leave the table by 7:30. I will never go back to the 636 restaurant and will be sure to share my terrible experience with everyone in Durango. This server should be let go; the customer service was appalling! Ver carta

I got the NY strip, asparagus, mashed potatoes with giant onion rings on top. I was excited to eat here but a pretty big let down. The steak was very tough, worse than at Applebees. No flavor throughout. They also cut up all the asparagus which is odd and all I got was the woody ends with no tops. Most steakhouses serve whole asparagus so it’s weird. Potatoes tasted like they were boiled 30 min too long and were watery. Won’t be wasting my money when there are lots of other options.

What a nice evening. I find that several of the higher-end restaurants in Durango are way overpriced. This is an exception. The food, service (thank you, Baden!! and wine (and list were all great as was the price point. We had eaten here under the previous ownership, and the new owners continue the quality food and experience. We ate outside for the first time and it was lovely. The scallops were delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked. And the chocolate torte was decadently good!
