We were a bit surprised as the restaurant's name suggested a Greek ambiance, but the decor and menu did not quite match that expectation. However, there were some Greek dishes available if that is what you are in the mood for. The menu is extensive and they offer breakfast all day with a separate menu for it. The lamb gyro was delicious, from the bread to the tzatziki sauce. The rice pudding had good flavor, but the rice was a bit firm for our liking. The house-made coleslaw had a tasty hint of pickle. My mom and I always enjoy trying new locally-owned establishments. After reading some great reviews, we decided to stop at Alexandris for breakfast. It was busy when we arrived, but we were seated promptly and our orders were taken quickly. There was a wide selection of meals on the menu. My mom ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon, and I had a veggie omelet made with Egg Beaters, which was a great option for my high cholesterol. Alexandris reminds me of a local diner my grandfather used to take me to when I was a boy. You get the impression that most of the patrons are regulars and have been for years. The staff was friendly and knew the menu inside and out. Our food took almost no time at all to be prepared, was hot and delicious and was exactly the familiar comfort food I was craving. Prices are reasonable, breakfast is served all day and there's plenty of other meals options and specials to choose from. Parking: There's parking directly in front of the restaurant on the street, however that can be tricky at times when it's busy.. My wife and I visited Alexandris on a Saturday around noon after our daughter's cross-country race. There was a 10 minute wait which we visited the spice and tea shop next door. Once seated, we got our drinks, and it took another few minutes for our waitress to take our order which was to be expected during their busy lunch rush. My wife ordered the Greek Skillet (home fries, 2 eggs, feta cheese, tomatoes, gyro meat, olives, and a side of tzatziki sauce) with rye toast. I asked for the chicken parmesan and it came with a cup of soup (broccoli cheddar) and a trip to their salad bar.
