"Don't expect miracles and you should be pleasantly pleased. Dirt cheap beer and wine. Steaks are appropriately priced for choice cut and we're 100% cooked correctly. Garlic bread was somewhat basic. Salad was delicious. Mashed potatoes were fresh (you never know at a mid tier restaurant). I'd say one of the bigger surprises is two fold: (1) it's quite nice inside all things considered and it was clearly renovated well; (2) there is absolutely no dress code because sleeveless shirts abounded for men and women...I won't even speak on the matter. It detracted from the experience to say the least. I think Southland needs to figure out if they want to cater to the redneck (I've lived in NC for 35 years so I can say this) coming home from work or pivot themselves moreso as a traditional steakhouse (where you take a date)."

"I order from this restaurant at least once a month for my game night, and while most of the time the food is satisfactory, I consistently receive the wrong type of chicken and plain fries. I’m not sure who’s training the staff responsible for packing the orders, but they need to revisit their training. I'm not ordering from Bojangles for my health; I go there for those deliciously salty fries that I crave. This should be a treat, but instead, I’m stuck with bland, unappetizing fries that just don’t cut it on their own. The chicken is always great—it's Bojangles, after all—but when I order a dark meat trio, that’s what I expect to receive. I'm not sure if the issue lies with the delivery app or the restaurant itself, but something needs to be sorted out."

"Out all of my three subs one was correct and we did not get or proper order one was supposed to be a 12 inch it was a 6 inch and it was incorrect type of sub on the other 6 inch cold cut We paid extra for bacon and did not receive it. I also called up there and they told me they could help me I had to wait for manager in the morning but before all that was said they hung up on me twice"

"I loved this place. Have been eating here on and off since I was a teen with a brand new license 8 years ago. Was even more excited when I got a job I love in Zebulon, and I made it part of my payday routine to drop my check at the bank and go to hillbillies across the street.Unfortunately after checking their Facebook after seeing the giant CLOSED banner on the front of the restaurant for a few days, it looks like it 's permanent and the owners didn 't sell the rights so its going to end up as something different unfortunately.Thank you guys for being the only burger joint I could enthusiastically say Yes! too whenever you asked me if I wanted my burger all the way you had wonderful, delicious food. I feel comfortable in saying that at the very least, Wake County will miss you. I 'll have to check out their other restaurant in Zebulon, mcleans ole time cafe at some point, I 'm holding out hope I 'll still be able to get a great burger there!"

"I have been to this location many times had no problems before until tonight. I went in to order dinner for me and my family takeout. I ordered sweet tea with my meals. I was given the sweet tea?s waiting for my order when a gentleman come up to me andtold me that the tea had salt in it instead of sugar. He told me that I needed to get something else to drink, so I open the lidand took a sip and sure enough it was salt instead of sugar. I went to the register and told the employee behind the counterthat the tea had salt instead of sugar. He says back to me ?yeah I know? The employees was aware that the tea had salt insteadof sugar and still served it to the customers. why would you give me tea that has salt in it instead of sugar if you are awareof it??? I was not the only customer that was given Salted tea. It is wrong to know that the tea has salt instead of sugar andstill serve it. I then was given Sprite that tasted terribly. The employees are unprofessional/rude and very poor customerservice they did not care about serving customers salted tea. I will be contacting the corporate office. I will not be goingback!!!"
