I hit this place two nights in a row it was so good. I'm visiting from Boston. Amazing food. Total hole in the wall.

Stopped here for lunch after traveling from NY. This food hit the spot! Will definitely come here any time I'm in Durham, NC. The staff was very, very friendly. Great food!

Walked in and thought the food was just going to be ok. Man was I wrong this stuff was smack yo grandma good. My wife and I are up from Atlanta we had to get some NC BBQ. I would recommend this to any BBQ lover. Ver carta

Excellent food and great people! We had their pork BBQ and fried chicken for a family reunion, plus sides of okra, mac&cheese, and hush puppies. All the food was fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. My only regret is getting 3 chickens instead of four.

O M G we are our way thru Georgetown-DC. Finally was impressed delighted and full as a tick after our lunch at This place!!! Met Donald and fam etc. Friendly and funny. My pulled pork mac n cheese and Brunswick stew had us jonesin then the banana pudding sent us over the edge!!! Can you tell we loved the place!!!

Oh, it's a hole in the wall, but you don't go there for the ambiance. Apparently you go there for the food! Yesterday was my first time there and the line stayed to the door the entire time I was there. The food is off the chain! The best meaty ribs, good old fashioned Mac and cheese and the collard were delicious! I will be returning! Ver carta

my favorite BBQ joint in the triangle. bbq is great, just a bit too humid, but otherwise perfect East NC style. hushpuppies are amazing. the sides are great. the prizes are great. it is a definitiw hole in the wall and has no ambiente to eat, but if they are looking for a fantastic bbq take-out and a buck for their buck, this is the place.

This is the real deal. As the lady behind the counter says 'it 's all seasoned right, here. ' All the classics for you to tour BBQ chicken, vinegar BBQ turkey, whiting, catfish, shrimp. Sides include a destination worthy mac cheese and a simply sublime Brunswick stew. Make sure you get there early unlike myself to enjoy their brisket which was out of stock once I arrived. And be sure to finish it off with one of their real fruit lemonades overflowing with whole fresh fruit. Wow. Thank you, backyard BBQ pit for introducing me to the real North Carolina.

Appearance is everything to me, so when I entered this establishment I was instantly turned off by the way it looks inside. The owner needs to shutdown for a few days and do a very deep cleaning of the entire restaurant. Also, it seems as if the cashierlady has entirely too much going on. Having a conversation with your fellow employee about their hours while customers arewaiting is so unprofessional. Also just a suggestion, please consider putting someone younger and faster at the register. Definitely in need of someone who can manage this establishment effectively. Ver carta
