"I came across this place while searching for hidden gems in GNV. Overall, I must say I did enjoy my dining experience. I visited multiple times before forming an opinion and leaving a review. These are strictly my personal thoughts and preferences.. The good: Customer service was surperb very clean and well kept menu options (chicken focused) simple THE SEASONAL LEMONADE (best strawberry lemonade that I've ever had) the overall ambiance/aesthetic.. very welcoming and inviting. The not so good: I liked every sandwhich that I tried but I can't say that I loved any of them. The more I ate the less I liked each one. The ranch fries were good in concept but too many flavors at one time for me with the chicken sandwich being the star I think salted fries would compliment the sandwiches perfectly. The bad: Overall I felt that everything was a tad bit overpriced I do understand offering higher quality ingridents will cause prices to be higher. $14 for 8 wings and no dipping sauce is a bit much. $4 for a small lemonade that is mostly ice is a bit much (although it was GOOD). Sandwich meals should include drinks. I know it's easier said than done, but affordability is a big determinate for repeat customers. Still a great spot to try if you are in the area. Keep killing it Germain's."

"Great dessert. We came just for dessert with a party of 7. Dessert was fantastic. Everyone loved what they got. Coffee was very good. Atmosphere was as you would expect from a steakhouse. I would have given it 5 stars but the service was not as attentive as I would expect for 5 stars. The wait staff is friendly but at a nice steakhouse which this is, you are expecting that attentive service where you aren’t waiting 10 minutes to get water and don’t have to ask for it several times. I would go back here though because if the food quality."

"What can I say? I absolutely love this place. We visit almost every Sunday night for dinner and coffee, and it never lets us down. While we come for the delicious food, the service keeps us coming back as well. Our waiter, Mario, is always friendly, attentive, and knows how to make us laugh. Thank you, Mi Apa, for being our favorite spot for the past five years!"

"The vindaloo sauce had an unusual texture and was quite bland, reminiscent of jarred pasta sauce. It lacked the expected spiciness for a vindaloo, and the chicken was dry. I usually prefer lamb in this dish, but when I ordered it last time, the quality was poor, with a lot of gristle. So, I opted for the chicken this time and ended up disappointed again. On a positive note, the hajar halwa carrot dessert was delicious. The ras malai was decent, but the sauce was thinner and more runny than I’ve had in the past. Overall, I wasn’t particularly impressed and would suggest visiting "Indian Cuisine" in Gainesville for better Indian food, although they aren’t available on DoorDash."

"My friend and I were starving after walking around Depot Park and we were craving pizza. Luckily, Big Lou's was just a 5 minute drive! We choose to order the Big Lou's House Special Pizza which had an olive oil base topped with fresh tomato slices, imported prosciutto, ricotta, garlic and oregano. After we ordered we realized that we could've made our own pizza, oops. We probably waited about 10-15 minutes for the pizza and we devoured the pizza in minutes, haha. The house pizza was okay. There wasn't much prosciutto or fresh tomato slices on the pizza. I think if we've known that we could've made our own pizza, my friend and I would have enjoyed it more. But we honestly should've order a larger pizza or sides along with the house pizza but due to time, we had to leave. Looks like I'm going to have to give Big Lou's another visit!"
