"We were visiting Tomball and Bloofin came up as one of a handful of dinner choices on Open Table. Being Asian Americans, and from California, we have pretty high standards for authentic Asian food, especially Japanese. I'll be honest, even with high reviews, I was skeptical being we were in a small Texas town. Needless to say, we were very happy with everything we ordered which included a Bloofin special sushi and sashimi combo, a yellowtail sashimi dish, and squid sansai. The seafood fried rice was really good and the sashimi was quite fresh and tasty, too! Interestingly, they had a unique and authentic dish I have never seen in Japanese American restaurants, before. Service was great and we were well taken care of by our server Jose! The owner even stopped by to check on us and we briefly spoke, on the way out. The space is decorated in mostly a contemporary flair with a touch of a few asian design cues in a very open space. Overall, a very pleasant and satisfying dining experience! We will definitely come back when visiting Tomball, again!"

Super fresh and in places creative spot with wonderful waitresses and a few killer yummy options. Beer and sake not best but you are there for the fish. Presented clean and fully. Just go.

Service was cheerful but slow. Food was average to good calamari was very good. Noise level made it difficult to talk to guests at our own table. We ordered the Lion Fish. It tasted bitter. Server said it sometimes happens because of the butane used to sear the salmon. That wasn't comforting. Doubtful we will be back. Ver carta

We have looked far and wide for chawanmushi in The Woodlandsâno need to continue our search. We have tried both uni and fois gras and would highly recommend. Just allow minutes or so as the custard is made fresh. The nigiri was fresh and exquisitely presented. A nice finish was a salmon skin hand roll. Weâll be back!

Sushi/Sashimi is awesome.. fresh.. seems like they keep their product rotated. Great flavors.. adult beverages are unique and have great selection. Not nearly the price of Uchi's , but pretty good overall.. and quality is somewhat comparable.. without the drive.. very please for this place to be within minutes of the house.
