"If you're in Cambridge, this is a must-visit spot for fantastic Mexican food and a great vibe. Every time I visit, I always make sure to stop by this restaurant. It's one of the best Mexican places I've been to. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the prices are very reasonable. I really enjoy the lively atmosphere with plenty of seating, and I especially love that they offer free chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. The chips keep coming until your meal arrives, and I definitely recommend getting some guacamole to go with them. The menu is also very vegan and vegetarian-friendly, with a dedicated section for these options. My personal favorites are the black bean and corn empanadas, veggie jambalaya, and bean burrito. The dishes are flavorful and the portions are generous. For a great dining experience, I highly suggest trying the chips and salsa with guacamole for starters, and then the black bean and corn empanadas or veggie jambalaya for your main course."

I absolutely adore this Mexican restaurant! It has a cool atmosphere and the food is delicious. It's perfect for a casual date, dinner with family or friends, or even just enjoying a margarita by yourself. Definitely try the frozen margaritas!

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy, about 20 minute waiting. The meal comes with complementary chips and salsa with huge glass for drinking water. Empalada was amazing. Great service. Quality of food. nice atmosphere. Really recommended for Mexican food lovers

Authentic Mexican food. Best in town. Very old and popular. My favourite place for the Mexican food. Have a lot of variety for both food and drink menu. My favourite is Chicken Guadalajara with strawberry margarita. Cool ambience. Friendly staff. Very nice to chill out with friends. Suitable for family outings too.

Great vibrant atmosphere and excellent service. Food is well priced and delicious do yourself a favor and do not leave without trying the guacamole! It makes the perfect accompaniment to the basket of toasty tortilla chips they will keep refilling for you (literally nonstop). Somehow I always manage to eat a little too much here everytime Ver carta

Great service with lots of selection of beer and food. Their seafood option are definitely one of my favorites. Their crawfish is very fresh and I really like their creativity of their table setups. Their cajun popcorn is also very good (it's fried shrimp). Parking is relatively easy and there is a parking garage just across the street from the cafe.

Our family ate at the Border Cafe in Delaware all the time and we were SO excited to learn about the one in Harvard Square. We made a point to go out of our way to come here for dinner and it did not disappoint! The food is an absolutely incredible value and it's top notch. I highly recommend the fajitas and a house margarita. Everything everyone else at our table got was also amazing, so you really can't go wrong here!

During a tour of the area known for its hardware stores, a friend recommended this restaurant to us. We decided to give it a try and were pleased to find a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The waitstaff were very friendly and knowledgeable, helping us with our menu questions. We decided to order the Vegetarian Fajitas and Blackened Chicken dishes, both of which were delicious. The Blackened Chicken was particularly outstanding, and we were impressed by the quality of the food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. Ver carta

"I had been looking forward to dining at Tallula for awhile. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype and at the end, was priced like a Michelin starred experience without the menu or experience of one. Food: I came with a friend and we both got the tasting menu with the bread basket to start. The bread and butter was actually excellent and the best part of the meal. The opening appetizer was raw scallops, and that was actually quite nice, as it had a floral and peppery taste to it. The 2nd course was fois gras with (more) bread. Perhaps this is where I wish we didn?t start with the bread basket, as the bread with the foie gras seemed like cheap white toast in comparison. The foie gras itself, I felt was ruined. Perhaps I am a purist, but whatever gelatin and berry mix they made with the foie gras taste overly acidic and fruity and took away from the rich, earthy, buttery ness that one would expect. Next up was the pasta I had squid ink cavatelli and my friend had the lobster pasta. Both portions were laughably small and the lobster dish was bland; overall nothing special and we both felt we would get a much better dish at any other restaurant. The protein was a short rib, which was too salty, and again, felt like it lacked novelty. Finally was desert, which again was very bread forward with 2 dense brownies for each serving again, nothing novel, and we could barely swallow it after what felt like such a bready meal as is. Service was okay, I believe our server could tell that we didn?t like the food (we didn?t finish most dishes) and ended up avoiding us in favor of other tables, and it was quite clear we weren?t getting serviced as kindly as other patrons. It also didn?t help they put us at a table right by the door that was constantly open/closing on a 20 degree evening. After a 4 course tasting menu, 1 drink, tax/tip, the meal ended up being $132 just for myself. It was a bit upsetting because I have had truly exquisite Michelin experiences at that price point. Overall, glad I experienced it, but likely will not be returning or recommending."

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
