"Every Tuesday, my friend and I make it a point to dine out, often trying new restaurants. I've tried nearly every option in State College, but this place quickly rose to the top of our favorites list. The food is well worth the price—everything we've tried has been delicious, and the Asian fusion dishes are particularly exciting to sample. The tea is exceptional as well, served in a charming small kettle with delicate glass cups that really enhance the experience. I also love the swing seats and appreciate being able to see into the kitchen; it’s comforting to know that the food is being prepared by skilled professionals rather than inexperienced staff. All in all, it’s a fantastic restaurant, and I highly recommend it!"

"We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for the past five years, visiting 3-4 times a year, and always had a great experience. However, on our most recent visit, we were disappointed to find that the menu had changed with the new culinary team, resulting in the loss of some of our favorite dishes. Additionally, the prices had nearly doubled since our last visit two months ago. Although the service was still excellent, we felt that the food quality did not justify the higher prices. The temperature near our table was also uncomfortably warm, and when we inquired, we were informed that they were experiencing HVAC issues. Overall, the overpriced meal, combined with the uncomfortable temperature, has made us reconsider returning to GiGis in the future."

"I absolutely love the vegan bowl at this restaurant. It is full of flavor with a delicious combination of rice, black beans, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, tomatoes, guacamole, and soy crumbles. I am tempted to try something different next time, but this bowl is just too good to pass up!"

"This place is beautiful with amazing food and excellent service. But there is no dress code. Half way through our anniversary dinner, a teen age son and father dressed in sweat pants, sneakers and baseball caps were seated next to us. And by next to us Imean a table 18 inches next to us. They watched hockey videos on the son?s phone, and talked hockey over their entire dinner.Our waitress told us there was no dress code and patrons were permitted to sit in the restaurant or bar, at their choice. Therewere other empty tables where they could have been seated. But they were seated between my husband and I and another couple. Itwas only about an hour till closing so I doubt these other tables were reserved. I asked at the front desk if I could speak to amanager but both people working didn?t seem to know if there was a manager on duty or not. I am disappointed that there is nodress code at all. But I am just as disappointed that this father and son could have been seated at a table that was not betweentwo couples out for a fancy dinner on a Saturday night. I am not sure the service and food are good enough to make up for nodress code and the unfortunate seating arrangement. We probably won?t go back. We will take our $500 somewhere else."

"I've had nothing but good experiences here. It's refreshing to see such a friendly staff. Nothing outstanding, but they make you feel warmly welcome and comfortable. It feels family-run, and when you dine in you feel like a part of the family. You'll never be hurried out of the restaurant, but you'll also never have to wait too long for the check. The waiters always seem to stop by at the perfect time. 5/5 for service. The food is quite good. It may not be 100% authentic, it might lack complexity of flavor, yet something about it is special: 100x better than the curries I can make myself. Even the rice by itself is phenomenal. Nothing tastes frozen, you can see there's serious effort and pride put into the food. Doesn't take long to arrive. The menu is short enough to show the chef's confidence but long enough to have plenty of delicious options. 4/5 almost perfect. The atmosphere is alright. I'd be excited to see new renovations as it does seem a bit outdated, but overall it's relaxing, peaceful, not too stuffy, too casual or too formal. Very clean. You get treated to some nice tranquil Indian music. A competent restaurant owned by intelligent, hard-working, and friendly people. You really can feel the effort and care they put in. I always leave fat and happy. I hope you'll continue to succeed. Thanks guys."
