"Family vacation to the Dells, decided to give this place a try. Very glad we did. Best ribeye I’ve had in a long time and I eat them fairly regularly. The steak was super tender, very flavorful and perfectly prepared. Cheese curds were a nice starter and the spinach salad was very good as well. My wife enjoyed the pork schnitzel and our kids both liked their food as well (grilled cheese and Mac and cheese. If looking for a great steak in this area stop here. I would highly recommend this establishment. Update: 8/10/24 Well, came back again and have to say it’s as great as ever! Ribeye was perfect and the bone marrow butter was a very tasty addition! Calamari appetizer was light and fresh. Our table had 4 deserts, favorites were the key lime pie and the tiramisu. I’ve covered a large portion of this country and hands down, this is it. The best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Bravo Del-Bar, and thank you!"

"The service and ambience were just great! That is the only reason my overall rating was three stars. The food in which we ordered, the kids chicken strips, 9 oz fillet with a side of scallops, the twice baked potato, and a Caesar salad. Chicken tenders were fine, but the fries had no seasoning and weren't crispy. The Caesar salad was delicious. The fillet although was cooked properly, it had zero seasoning. I guess that is why they push the toppings. The scallops as a side were horrible. Over cooked, overly fishy in taste and humorous enough, they topped a dry under cooked pile of fettuccine. I sent them back they were so bad. Anyway, regardless of how many future trips we take to the various resorts, this restaurant is one we would never visit again. I can not recommend unless you are that desperate... Happy travels!"

"Our son recommended this restaurant as a must-visit, so we brought our grandsons along. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken right away. Heather, our server, was fantastic. We ordered the walleye dinner, along with Harper, Fredo, and the big kid mac and cheese, plus two milks and two adult drinks. For dessert, we had dirt and worms. Everything was delightful. It's a fantastic place!"

"We visited the Dells and were looking for something unique to eat. With so many chain restaurants in the area, it was refreshing to find a distinctive dining option. The menu offered a great variety, which we really appreciated. Even after a short 8-minute drive back to our Airbnb, our food was still hot! The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and there were plenty of delicious cheese pulls throughout the meal. Surprisingly, it wasn't as overwhelming as I had anticipated; however, it's still a hearty, rich, and indulgent dish, being mac and cheese after all. It paired wonderfully with Cholula hot sauce, though if you’re getting it to go, you’ll need to request the sauce on the side. I can't wait to return on my next trip to the Dells!"

"The restaurant features three bars, with a fourth currently under construction, along with plenty of unique lounge and patio seating areas for enjoying cocktails or appetizers. PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit soon, steer clear of the patio on the left side facing the lake, as the construction noise there is quite loud. The stunning view of Mirror Lake is truly priceless! Their promotional materials claim that every table has a view, but unfortunately, we were seated at the only table that didn’t have one. I should have declined the table when offered, but I didn’t. PRO TIP: Avoid the table next to the fireplace; while it might be pleasant in late fall when the fire is lit, it offers no view and is too close to the host station, making it noisy. Our server was adequate—slightly slow in taking our order but attentive when it came to clearing away used items. I was disappointed that she didn’t show us the dessert tray when I mentioned we hadn’t saved room. I saw it at a couple of other tables and was quite curious about it. Now, onto the food—it was wonderful! I had the prime rib and shrimp, while my husband claimed his filet was the best he’s had since his favorite steakhouse closed. The grounds themselves are unique, featuring signs that describe various aspects of the property, along with a fun gift shop. They serve privately labeled wine and brandy bourbon from local distilleries, which you can purchase for $35 and $40, respectively. PRO TIP: Ishnala is a Native American name, and they incorporate that theme throughout the restaurant with bar names, taxidermy, photographs, and teepees around the property, which some may find offensive. Overall, Ishnala is a must-visit dining experience in Wisconsin, especially for foodies!"
