Cafe Portofino - Carta

Called to order pizza for takeout. It was encouraging that the wait time was only 20min. That’s the end of the positives. Pizza was burnt and salty. It definitely wasn’t worth $20 a pizza. Should have gone with Pizza Hut.

My server was extremely nice. Food was excellent. It's a bit in the top range for price but it's a good place for a date night or a general night out. You can hear the waves from the beach in pretty much every part of the restaurant.

Delicious restaurant! I am not exaggerating when I say that the lasagna is the BEST I have ever had. AMAZING! The chicken marsala is also yummy, as is the carbonara. All of the shrimp options are also top tier. Service is very good as well highlyrecommend! Ver carta

Great restaurant right on the water with views of Kalapaki beach. Food is excellent and service is good too. I ordered the ribeye steak this time. Wine corkage is reasonable. They have a harp player most nights! Walking distance from the Sonesta Resort (beach walk or internal walkway). Good selection of meat and fish dishes, and standard Italian dishes pastas.

This place is wonderful! I make amazing Alfredo sauce at home and pride myself on my pasta but THIS Alfredo pasta here is by far the greatest I’ve ever eaten. The bread needs improvement. The view is amazing and the staff is friendly. The service isgreat. We didn’t have to make reservations or wait. We’ve been here 5 days and have already eaten here twice. HIGHLYrecommend.

Great Italien food. But so weird that you cannot order a pizza for the out door dining. It does not make any sense that you have to move inside of you want pizza? Even though we had to hook a tavle, we were still standing and waiting for our table. Thedishes are not big but tasty and also a hit expensive. I can highly recommend the desert Profitiroles, which is the dessertwith the ice cream and whipped cream in the pictures. Ver carta

The Italian food here is fantastic, but it's odd that you can't order pizza for takeout. It doesn't make sense that you'd want to enjoy pizza only inside the restaurant. Even after securing a table, we still had to stand while eating. The portion sizes are not large, but the flavors are delicious, albeit a bit pricey. I highly recommend the dessert called Profiteroles; it's the one with ice cream and whipped cream shown in the pictures.

We want to try this place before left the island and to be honest we were glad to make it…. We try the special of the day, pasta with shrimp, fish marlins, and mussels, in red sauce, that was more than delicious, another level, my husband orderedcarbonara and was super yummy, for dessert tiramisu and caramel crusted, the last one was my favorite! The view is priceless…customer service was excellent, if you have time don’t hesitate to visit this place, also they have pizza that looks and smellso good, but we didn’t try, we choose dessert instead to try pizza.

This is coming from 11+ years in the service industry. I sat at the bar to order a pizza to go because nobody answered the phone, not even the guy standing at the host stand doing nothing (who I assume was the owner). The bar was filthy, dust collected in the drink mats, bar top was not wiped down, fruit was not washed before cutting and serving. My favorite oddity I saw was a server dumping a cup of soda water and ice back into the same ice well the cup was filled from, the same ice well used to store mixes and wines. I'm assuming they were all there because the actual ice bath was being used as a sink. The pizza came out fast and looked pretty good, sadly it was underdone and just alright... Ver carta
