"Dining method: Dine-in Item(s) ordered: Macchiatos and a gluten-free chocolate caramel cake Value: Reasonable prices Speed: Our coffees were served within 10 minutes The Review: Café Paradiso is a classic North End spot, complete with green travertine tables and wood finishes. They serve coffee, gelato, mixed drinks, and even have a food menu. The first thing we noticed was how nice and nice the staff were. Surprisingly, there are options for dietary needs, and even a gluten-free pastry, which they warmed up to perfection. The macchiatos were foam-filled cups of delicious espresso. I'd never had one prepared this way, and it was very good. We will most certainly be returning to Paradiso!"

Most disappointing pistachio gelato I've ever had. Fake flavor. Coffee gelato was also lacking in flavor. Too bad because it's a nice place.

Espresso Martini, affogato and cannoli are very good! Service was fast, and everyone was friendly and attentive. It was crowded and loud when we stopped in around 8pm, seating was very tight, not for big groups.

Came here for dessert after dinner since dessert options were limited at 9 pm. Service was nonexistent. Tiramisu super super dry. It didn't taste fresh. The creme was good though. Negroni very strong so if you like yours on the stronger side, definitely recommend!

The gelato was okay. Kinda thicker than I would have liked and pricy for how much you get. The texture was not it for me. But the place wasn't crowded and we were able to grab a table relatively quick. Also, one of the dessert places that takes credit cards and not cash only! Ver carta

*Owner is extremely rude to customers and her staff* The coffee is delicious and the servers were so kind but the owners behavior and treatment was terrible. She screams at customers and her staff. It's quite uncomfortable and ruins the experience. I would suggest going elsewhere!

Caffe Paradiso Love!! Never disappoints! Four of us. Four perfectly perfect cannoli, 2 Cappuccinos from heaven and two delectable Hot Chocolates! We added 4 champagne cookies for a twist and they also lived up to standards! When in Boston Cafe Paradiso is my choice. I have been going there for over 30 yrs

This cafe is cute and dimly lit, has a bit of a romantic ambiance but make it European. The desserts are good you get exactly what you would expect. The pistachio martini is pretty strong, just how I like it : There is occasionally a man with a guitar playing live music and he goes from table to table performing. It's cute! Overall, a nice place to catch up with friends over drinks and dessert. Ver carta

PROS: This is the most authentic Italian caffe I've ever been to. It has the Italian atmosphere, everything was made from scratch, the staff spoke Italian, the music was even on point. The order came out fast, large menu variety, and they prohibit you from working on your computer on the weekends so it prevents people from hogging the tables CONS: Scarce parking as its only street parking. it also gets very cramped inside OVERALL: I would definitely come and check this place out. Despite the parking issue, as long as you're in the area you'll love it here

This cafe has a nice location and ambiance. I got the espresso martini, which was quite strong yet watery. You can probably find better ones in north end. I came here previously and enjoyed the pistachio martini a lot more it comes with a scoop of gelato . One thing I found weird was their water policy. My waiter told me they only sold bottled water, but the bar had tap water. I went over to the bar, where I was told that they didn't serve tap water ?? . I've never experienced this in an American restaurant, and it looks like previous reviewers had this issue too.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
