Quality seafood at a reasonable price. I love the fisherman’s. Their free live music events in the bar are great fun and Capt John and the staff are always super friendly!

The food was delicious and there was plenty of it for a reasonable price. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back. Food rating: 4/5.

Went there today.. Surprised when we got the bill. 15% gratuity on bill for two people.. Was never told about the up charge. The reason they gave was because we were dining in. Y'all have been warned ! Ver carta

The food at Captain John's Dockside was fantastic. I highly recommend the calamari and mozzarella sticks as appetizers—both were excellent. Every dish we tried was exceptional! This restaurant clearly doesn’t value its customers! Their posted business hours are outdated and don’t reflect the current situation, leaving everyone confused about when they’re actually open. It’s not a welcoming environment, and I wouldn’t recommend dining here. The staff seems uninterested in serving you. Overall, I give it a rating of 1 out of 5 for the food.

We chose Captain John's Dockside for a small family gathering of six because of its good reviews and convenient location. However, upon arrival, the place felt nearly closed. The main dining area appeared completely shut, with only the bar area in operation. Although we were seated promptly, after the waitress promised to return shortly, 15 minutes passed without menus or drinks. It became apparent she was the sole staff member managing everything from serving to bartending and clearing tables. I can't recommend dining here. Ultimately, we left and drove six miles to Squids, where we had a fantastic meal.

Captain John's Dockside—here’s my take. I met some friends for dinner on a Friday night. Although I don’t usually seek out seafood restaurants this far inland, I was eager to try Dockside because one of our group, a longtime friend with a refined palate, has dined here multiple times over the past 30 years and highly recommended it.
