I recently visited Carter's Fried Chicken in Dawson, Georgia, and once again, the food was amazing!

The gizzards are prepared just like Grandma used to make, and the sweet tea is crafted with love, as if made by sweet little hands. Ver carta

The roasted chicken was excellent! We dined outside, and the only downside was the number of flies, but that's hard to control. It was great to find a place where our dog could join us.

Old school atmosphere. Service is not very good. Workers can be abrupt and to the point, but food is good. This is take out only. It took forever for me to get a two peice snack in a drive thru with no other cars and the crust taste like old burnt grease couldn't even eat it...and I say crust bc there wasn't any chicken om it..the only part that was any good was atleasy she smiled somewhat or maybe it was a smirk bc they knew they was screwing me Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10

Best fried chicken on the planet. Not kidding. We go miles out of our way on road trips to stop here. Although it 's a drive-through, they are still frying your chicken the old fashioned way inside, so this is by no means fast food . Shout your order at the speaker, then chill. We no longer try to eat it as we drive. Just sit at the picnic tables or in the (parked) car. Heaven. Meal type: Lunch

I ordered livers, gizzards, and wings, but unfortunately, I couldn't eat them. They were awful, and you could tell the grease was really old. The wings were overcooked and equally disappointing. I called to let them know I couldn't consume the food, and the woman I spoke to said I could return it. However, when we returned it, she claimed they don't give refunds. They offered us another order, but it was just as bad. The woman mentioned they would be closing in a few weeks. Honestly, I'd say they should close now! Ver carta
