If you?re in the mood for fried chicken then look no further! This is some of the best crispy/juicy fried chicken I?ve had in the city without a doubt.. I've driven by this place several times since moving here, and finally decided to stop in today. I'm glad I did. My son and I grabbed a late lunch and it was delicious. I thought it was a little pricey for the portion size, but the food was really good.I got the catfish plate, and he got the three piece dark meat chicken. We will be back soon.

This is the place to go! The sausage, cheese, and pickle appetizer is weirdly delicious- a great combination that goes great with your meal. Everything is cooked to order and comes out hot and quick, so don?t be afraid to stop here for your lunch hour.I loved the fried chicken liver. It?s the real thing! The chicken was quite sour, and the fries were excessively salty. My father's catfish was far too salty as well and had a muddy flavor. Additionally, there were sections of the chicken that were underbaked, leading to parts that were overcooked and tough, making about a quarter to a third of it inedible. I’d like to think this was just an off night, but given that it was almost 6 PM on a Friday and the restaurant was only half full, I have my doubts. While the service and staff were truly exceptional, I don’t think we’ll be returning due to the food quality.

The appetizers were incredible. We had the smoked sausage, cheese, pickle plate and the sausage was soo good.... We also had the hushpuppies because why not, and they had a little kick that was so pleasant (jalapeño bits). Then came the chicken fingerbasket and their homemade Buffalo sauce was the perfect topper to some great tasting batter. We also had the grilled chicken andI've never had better... Then came the macaroni which you have to get in order to believe, each bite just gets cheesier andcheesier.. Overall incredibly fun atmosphere inside and amazing service, thank you Abby G you made great recommendations andtook great care of us.

I hate to give a less than stellar review especially after such great service but . . . I have to. First, the good. The entire staff was friendly and smiling. Our waitress was attentive and sweet without being overbearing and actually remembered to bringthe extra sauce with our food, which is almost unheard of. I got the 3 piece dark, my dad got the famous catfish. The beans wereexcellent, but that's about the only thing that was. The slaw was quite sour, the fries were too salty, the catfish was way toosalty and tasted muddy, and they missed a few spots on the chicken with the breading so the exposed meat was way over cooked andchewier than leather so at least 1/4-1/3 of it was unedible.
