"Love this Restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is great! Had an issue a couple weeks ago when we called in for takeout and they were super busy and our order got misplaced after it was made and sat for over an hour so it was cold. We didn’t have time for them to remake it so the next time we came in they gave us 50% off! Wonderful place! Wonderful people! "My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner Friday around 4:00pm. We've been here several times over the last few years and have always had a pleasant experience. This time, it wasn't so pleasant. Our waitress came to take our drink order and we went ahead and ordered our appetizer. Our waitress wasn't very polite, it took 15 minutes before my drink arrived and the appetizer arrived before my drink. My husband ran out of his drink long before our waitress showed back up. We asked for the check after eating the appetizer, left and went to another restaurant down the road. Sad to say, but we won't be going back for awhile."

"The food was great quality even in comparison to many of the places I have eaten in Chicago, Charlotte, D.C. but we waited about an hour and 20 minutes from the time we ordered until our food was served. No explanation was provided (new kitchen staff, extra time needed to prepare order). Some of our food may have been sitting a while because it was cold when served. Alough the food was good I would not go back due to the lack of care or acklowlegldgement for how long we waited. There was a table of 2 behind our table of 4 that was seated after us and left before our food came. If we had been told there would be a long wait for our food we could have ordered more than the 1 appetizer the 4 of us shared. This restaurant does not provide bread or anything to eat while waiting."

"A friend brought cookies to work one day and I was so happy with them and had to ask where they came from. I visited Ms. Angels about a week ago and was very pleased with my experience. The facility outside and inside is VERY welcoming and attracts you. I enjoyed the brightness of the decorations. Very striking for me and pleasant. Fresh muffins were brought out when I was there and when I asked what kind they were the woman who worked very politely, they answered me. There were numerous cakes, cakes and cookies to choose from. I got some Macaroons and a cookie decoration set for my children. The cookie kit was a hit with my children last weekend. We were very satisfied that the cookies, where also really good. I have some bad ingwerbread cookies before and was very happy that these were absolutely delicious! I will definitely go back to my next trip. I enjoyed my trip here to Mrs. Angel's heavenly Pies. I came back to my childhood bakery where I grew up in Marion, NC. It's always nice when I come across a business that has that real old fashion feels it too, and reminds me of home. The owner definitely has a good thing to go here and I hope that she and her family will see in business for many years. I often visit Mt. Airy when I have family in town and will come through any chance I can. Thank you. Mrs Angel is a wonderful experience and keep it as you are!!"

"However, when I arrived that Monday and mentioned my catering order to the cashier, everyone seemed puzzled and said they had no record of it. After a minute or so of frantic searching, they found my order on the bulletin board, which was very easy to see. They apologized, explaining that Kayla hadn’t communicated my order to anyone. When Kayla finally arrived, her only response was a casual "oh." The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because of the woman at the front (I wish I had caught her name). She immediately apologized and started working on my order by herself, while the other employees, including Kayla, just stood around doing nothing. I wouldn't have been upset about them forgetting my order if the others had at least offered to help her or provided an apology. It felt like I was the inconvenience for their mistake. The woman who assisted me truly deserves a raise, a promotion, and all the good things in life. I understand it was early in the morning, and the other employees may have been tired, but so was I. I was responsible for catering an office party, and their oversight made me late."
