"Have to share the experience that my family had here. Some pros and cons. Let me just say, I rarely leave negative reviews on anything and this is a first for me. For the pros. The food was amazing. Everybody loved everything. Chef was great. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant. As for the reservation aspect. This was our first time in LBI, traffic was a bit more than we anticipated. We were late and called ahead. When we got there the lady, hostess perhaps owner, not very welcoming and immediately made it know to my husband we have to leave by 650 because we are late. Which we understood and wouldn't dispute because we were late, but there is a way to communicate such in a more pleasant manner. My mother then went back into the restaurant a separate time, (since we were seated outside) and then she was told from a male worker perhaps owner, that we had to leave by 720. Again, we didn't mind and didn't dispute it the first time nor the second time,, because we were late and we would be accommodating but there is definitely a better way to go about this and their times frame weren't the same from the both of them. We felt rush for sure, a little to intense of an environment. Probably wouldn't go back because of that, but food and waitress were awesome.5 stars for food and waitress"

"it is the day after our culinary experience at the engleside and we have just finished our rest. Of course they are never as good as the original dinner, but it was still great. date night and we both had the captain’s prime rib that is enormous! and perfectly cooked, medium rare. so dinner in the first night, left over the second night and suppe are made for a third meal! our server, stefan, was personal and accommodating. we sat in the bar area and were in a position to move to a table that was a little further from the front door that was breezy whenever opened. very nice evening, while the crazy storm was out!"

"Decent food, but portions have shrunk and it is extremely noisy. But my biggest disappointment is in the way they 've trained their waitstaff. I experienced a once in a lifetime occurrence as I was leaving this evening. When the waiter brought the bill for our party of 8 and handed it to my wife, she heard him say gratuity is included, and she relayed this message to me as he was standing at our table, and as she handed me the bill to sign. Logically, I did not add a tip. In reality, he must have told her gratuity is not included. But, instead of politely correcting her misunderstanding, he returned to our table 30 seconds later (while we were still finishing our meal) and picked up the signed check. To be clear I have been dining out for 40 years and I have never witnessed a waiter pick up a signed bill before I leave the table, unless the restaurant is closing. Five minutes later, he followed us to the parking lot to find out if there was a problem with the service. The only problem with the service was in the way in which he disingenuously handled a misunderstanding of which he was clearly aware i.e., he clearly realized that my wife misheard him; otherwise, he would have done as he has been trained and not picked up the bill while we were still finishing our meal. In other words, he could have corrected her mishearing at the time he heard it or even after he picked up the bill while we were still at our table instead of following us to the parking lot. For the record outside of this odd situation, our waiter was very polite and ended up with a tip that was more than 20%."

"Went in for typical eats and found a place with incredibly friendly service! Meal order was nothing out of the ordinary: burgers, cheese steaks, fish tacos, grilled cheese. Food was typical: not extraordinary, not terrible. But the service was top-rated. There is no wait service when you seat yourself as orders are made from the counter then delivered. Food took about 20 minutes to come out, but was perfect temperature to eat. Staff was very accommodating when trying to seat our party of 6. Turnover is fast and our wait was less than 5 minutes (even though we called and they warned 25 minutes or so). They adjusted tables to fit us all together and made sure we were comfortable. When placing the order, the staff was friendly behind the counter, inquired to make sure our order was correct and answered any questions we had. Ice cream attendants were equally as gifted and worked quickly to fill orders... Ice cream was delicious and sundae options were spot on! Nice little place with VERY friendly service!"

"I dined in for dinner and had a fantastic experience! I highly recommend trying the Lobster Corn Dog, which is an exciting twist on a classic dish. The Oyster Chowder is another standout, rich and flavorful, perfect for seafood lovers. The Brussels Sprouts were deliciously roasted, and the Mac N Cheese is a comforting must-have. For something lighter, the Tuna Cracker is a delightful option. If you're looking for something hearty, the Short Rib Disco Fries are a delicious indulgence! The calamari is perfectly crispy, and the clams are a lovely addition to the seafood selection. Last but not least, the Fried Chicken is a true treat, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Overall, this restaurant offers an impressive range of dishes that are sure to satisfy any palate!"
