"Cody J's truly captures the essence of a charming local diner! The service is outstanding, making you feel right at home among their friendly staff. The fried pork chop is a delightful crunch, expertly breaded, juicy, and bursting with flavor. While the meatloaf was a touch dry, it didn't diminish the overall enjoyment of the meal. And I can't forget to mention their sweet tea – it's like experiencing a bit of southern sunshine! Each refreshing glass offers an authentic taste of the South, and I certainly indulged in several refills. Cody J's is the ideal spot to enjoy time with friends and family, where delicious food pairs perfectly with great company. It’s a genuine country haven that beautifully embodies the spirit of the Cartersville community."

It's a charming little place that serves amazing home-cooked meals. It truly feels like the CHEERS of Cartersville, where everyone is familiar with your name.

This is one of my Aunts favorite places to eat. We ordered ahead and picked up. Their food was very tasty and with good portions. The various selections to chose from also was nice since we ordered from there several times a week. I do highly recommend this restaurant. Ver carta

The food and service were exceptional! I will definitely be returning! My second visit lived up to my expectations! We ordered party melts with fries, and they were fantastic. I especially love the relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly and really makes you feel at home.

I absolutely love supporting this local restaurant! My favorite dish is the chicken livers they serve on Tuesdays, along with their jalapeño cornbread. Update: I've discovered a new favorite—the summer salad! I eat it a couple of times a week, and it never fails to impress!

The desserts here are incredible! They occasionally offer a special spaghetti dish that's really delicious. The burgers and stuffed hot dogs are also worth trying. Breakfast is fantastic—the bacon is among the best I've ever had. I recommend visiting and discovering your own favorites! Ver carta

I had breakfast there on Tuesday morning, and it was excellent— the servers were all very kind. I happened to be back in town the following day, so I thought I’d grab some lunch to take back to my hotel. Unfortunately, I received the wrong meal and didn't realize it until I got back to the hotel, which is 60 miles away.

This is an incredible spot for delicious country-style cooking! The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic, and the prices are unbeatable. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here for under $20 and received far more food than we could eat. It was wonderful! The portions are generous, and everything tastes great!

"Good seasonally inspired restaurant in Downtown C’ville. Being new to town and having received a gift certificate from our realtor, we gave it a try. First impressions small town feel with lots of potential for greatness. It’s a step or two above the run of the mill pub but not quite Michelin star level. A really well done take on seasonal meets local ingredients meets small town. We started with the Fries “Al Pastor” which was a very poutine esque medley of roasted pork shoulder and what I swear was delicious little cubes of peach minced in with goat cheese and cilantro cream. Delicious! For my entree I had the venison sausage. I’m a bow hunter and I love venison every day until Sunday. It’s super difficult to find a good venison dish anywhere and I was very pleased to find this on a local menu. My wife on the other hand played it safe (she is a self proclaimed burger connoisseur). She said it was one of the best burgers she’s ever had. My venison sausage was well plated and had amazing flavor. It was Wine Wednesday to boot so we were able to get a decent sauvignon blanc at 1/2 price… ALL wines are 1/2 off on Wednesday! Ok, so the only reason it’s not a 5: the service was lacking. I won’t get into specifics… it could’ve been an off night. It was a Wednesday. The brussel sprouts were heavily salted. Like, way too much. But overall, it’s a strong 4. We will try it again. The plates that were good were really, really good. The prices are extremely reasonable in this era of Bi flation, so give it a try if you’re in town!"

"I have been out of town for a few weeks, so I wanted to take out my fiancé on a date night. We headed south stopped in Cartersville to grab some dinner located this restaurant upon arriving. It looked really nice presentation of the entrance, down to the celler was nice that hemisphere look laid-back, relaxing, we got seated quickly with no reservations which was sent to a good start. We order an appetizer and two drinks. The appetizer came out first looked super delicious, and our drinks came out shortly after so that got us all excited about the food as it looked really good. The pork belly appetizer was delicious no denying that the wine my fiancé had was OK and my Oaxaca drink not so good, the drink was over powered by the dry fruit in it and they used a really cheap Mezcal not worth it. We weren’t offered any napkins. We have no silverware and we can obviously see the server at that restaurant was new because you can see he has experience, but looked lost! He had a hard time locating things within the restaurant, which I believe call him to be late and not serve as he should be. We didn’t get straws after we asked we had to ask a second time for them to bring the straws. He didn’t refill waters, not even after we asked him to And I think it’s because he was looking for the water jar, Not sure what the situation was but then he brought and refilled my cup of water and I order my second drink and I’m glad I ordered it on the rocks straight because I didn’t want to get ripped off on another drink. They use a lot of cheap liquor to make the drinks and super over price drinks. On my second drink I got a Woodford on the rocks double which I am OK to pay Woodford price because I know what Wilford is. We both picked our two entrées. I went with the recommendation and I made a mistake. The mashed potatoes had no flavor. The rib was dry super dry. I took two bites, and it was not cooked the way I requested to be cooked and my fiancé steak was super dry as well same request, She also only took a couple bites. To the extent that I told my waiter that I rather eat my appetizer than that. I also had to ask for the silverware again. All in all it went from a good start to a really disappointing finish that’s not on the waiter fault, he was doing the best. that’s on the management of the restaurant and the cooks. To add the macaroni and cheese look like it was in a bowl of soup of cheese. Needless to say I paid over $100 to eat appetizers. Here is the pictures and the presentation was nice the food not good!! I even felt bad for the waiter and still left him a tip because he was trying total cost of the night 200+ dinner date night! A big fail! Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1"
