Dark Star Saloon Cafe

we went the day after valentines fay and it was perfect! the food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was wonderful.

that is our second time that we come to brunch and it is great! funky cute decoration and great owners and staff! can not wait to eat.

They were clearly unprepared for restaurant week, as several items were no longer available, but the service was great, and the food we had was absolutely fantastic. We went for dinner, for which I'll go back, but I am really excited to go back for breakfast and try those waffles! Ver carta

we visited Valentine's Day dinner. they eat was spectacular! as expected they were very busy. this allowed much time to talk and enjoy live music. the personal was friendly and attentive. though stressed by the big turn. the owner/upper even came out to help and talk to guests. this is a great place!

Cool, hip place with great coffee, service and food. We had breakfast and everything was fantastic! From the orange cornbread waffle to the sidewalk slam breakfast. Be sure to get a **** mary, made to your desired level of heat, with a spicy rimmer and a plump, well-seasoned shrimp! Homemade hotsauce and jam too! Will be back for dinner, creme bruelle and parties on the patio this summer.

they were here for Sunday brunch, they had many options available. I walked with the chicken puppy pops and the fillet breakfast. the chicken arm with honey on them was incredible. the filet breakfast was tasty and a healthy part even for someone who was hungry when I arrived. Love the mood and the atmosphere and the service was polite, fast and personal. definitely recommend and definitely back! Ver carta

Our reservation was confirmed twice yet the restuarant was closed when we arrived. There was no notice or attempt to contact us. The owner was unapologetic and made a thin attempt to save face by offering a free dessert next time we come in. We looked forward to trying Dark Star for the first time as we had heard the food is great and atmosphere appealing. There will be no next time as we will not waste another opportunity for a date night away from our young kids at Dark Star, which is a shame because we are a short walk away. First impressions are everything and this one was a dud.

The problem here was on Valentines Day: This is where the problem occurred we called in advance and questioned the individual that has answered. Of course we had called other establishments nearby with a similar ambiance and menu. We have frequented this establishment before but not over Valentines day. My wife asked what were the specials pricing of certain dishes being served that evening but no fixed prices were discussed she reserved the table of 6. So our Father on a fixed income and sister-in law and husband showed as well 6 total. Once seated we looked at the menu to find that each person Valentines meal was going to be fixed. 75.00 bucks ridiculous never going back we were flummoxed...

love it! the logo on the sign was the first thing to catch my eye when I drove down the prince anne road, so I saw it. this is now one of my favorite spots and it may be too cool for this city. the eclectic 70s and 80s rock vibe is incredibly cool. the retro drinking glasses and the things they find around their 80's kitchen have really brought me back in time. I loved the nostalgia of the place. the personal was friendly and started chatting with us as if we were old friends. the menu includes some unique and interesting menu items that use locally purchased food and meat and the chef really delivered. the portions are great for the price and not only the presentation of the food ingenious,...
