"I couldn't resist trying the Big Game Burger, and it definitely caught my attention. It was quite substantial and came heaped with all the promised toppings: a generous amount of Swiss cheese, cherry steak sauce, and crispy onions, all tucked into a bun. The burger had a denser texture, which distinguished it from standard burgers, but it was both delicious and fulfilling. It's definitely worth a taste, though it might not suit every burger lover's palate. Personally, I found it enjoyable! And as for the crinkle fries? Always fantastic!"

"The restaurant offers excellent options and high-quality ingredients, and the facility is clean. However, I rated it lower due to the execution of the smoothies. I often add protein and immunity shots, and when I’m paying $30 for three smoothies, I expect to receive all the additives I'm paying for. I've noticed the staff frequently discarding a lot of leftover smoothie mix, which means that when I pay for 15g of protein, I'm likely only getting about 7g. I find this waste of both money and product frustrating. On a positive note, the owner is incredibly kind and helpful, so I keep returning in hopes of getting my money's worth in the future."

"We stopped in to Pappy and Harriet?s Frontier Cafe for a quick lunch after hiking through Joshua Tree National Park. It?s a unique little place that is about a 20 minute drive from the park entrance. It?s adjacent to a Western movie set that you can tour, or watch live stunt shows twice a month. (Check their website) The restaurant is a local classic with rustic decor, and a menu that will satisfy almost all palates, including vegetarian choices! It was really busy when we arrived, but the place is pretty large with lots of seating, so we were seated almost immediately. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We had a nice light lunch of a Kale Salad, guacamole/fresh salsa and a mountain of chips, and their amazing chili nachos. The nachos were unique in how they were prepared. We got the vegetarian chili, which was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spice. Prices are reasonable, too! They have live music on a stage some nights, so check their website to see what sort of entertainment options might be scheduled. A great place to stop when you are in the Joshua Tree Park area! We will most definitely go back again to try a few more things from their menu!"

"I had the steak and eggs breakfast at this restaurant and it was decent, but it would have been better if the steak had been cooked medium rare as I had requested. It wasn't terrible enough for me to say anything, but I don't think I'll order that dish again. Considering it was one of the more expensive items on the menu, I was expecting something special. However, I know that the food here is usually good and I am a loyal customer. The waitress and service were excellent. I would still recommend this restaurant."

"I can’t say enough good things about this place. Homemade food, tasty, professional service, even a great, great salsa bar. Even the house chips are extraordinarily excellent—crisp and not fried with cheap oil. On the salsa bar there are five house salsas, all tasty. Also there are marinated carrots, lime, two kinds of peppers, and even marinated cucumbers. Prices are really reasonable. Counter clerk is friendly, pro, keeps the tables clean and keeps the food coming out. You might call ahead for faster service. Seating area is comfortable but perhaps small during COVID times. I asked the worker how long they had been there and he said it’s been in the family for 24 years. Recommend!"
