Delish Ethiopian Cuisine

Small, quaint, exceptional service. Culinary delight ? Took the family for a treat. We will be back. I really enjoyed all the educational tips on the tables, chairs and walls!

We had the Delish combo, Awaze Tibs, and Doro Wot. The Awaze Tibs beef cube are really tender and juicy. And Doro Wot slow-cooked chicken is great as well. We love the vibe and decorations.

My wife and I discovered this restaurant right before the COVID lockdown. We already enjoyed the food and found that ordering takeout was convenient, so we visited frequently for some comfort food. This restaurant has become one of our favorites in Seattle. Ver carta

The portion size has really diminished. This is what the Meat Combo $29) looks like now. When I first ordered, the to-go box was completely full and the extra injera were in a separate container. This last order, the combo and 2.5 injera fit in the box with room to spare.The food isn't bad, but it doesn't touch Sunset Cafe which was closed today). Disappointing.

Had an incredible experience at Delish. The owner of the restaurant was exceedingly hospitable and kind, offering us interesting information about the restaurant’s origin, the neighborhood, the food, and Ethiopian culture. The food was exceptional as well, coming out quickly, presented beautifully and tasted amazing and perfectly spiced. I cannot wait to come back to Delish.

Been here a bunch of times, but ordered takeout and got there after a long waiting queue time to find out they hadn’t started my order yet. Food has been good in the past, I am hopeful this time. Also saw another table get served what they didn’t order and were asked if they could just eat that…Yikes. Another group came in halfway through my wait at the restaurant and got their take away already…as I am still waiting. It is a very busy Sat for them, they just aren’t equipped to handle a busy day it appears. Ver carta

It's a small place but they have done a decent job with whatever little space they have. I came with a large group with many people trying Ethiopian for the first time. So we felt a bit cluttered with space but that can be overlooked if you are a small group. Tried different recipes loved the Shiro Wat. It's a vegetarian recipe made with red lentils. On the other hand the Diro wat was rather okayish. Injeera was really delicious. We also tried their cappuccino which were made with Ethiopian beans totally loved it.

The Delish combo at this restaurant is fantastic! The honey wine is also super great. The staff is really nice, although I think they may have forgotten to reserve our 4-person table. It was surprisingly busy on a Wednesday at 6:30, with all the tables filled except for one meant for 2 people. Fortunately, another party left and we eventually got our table. I appreciate the Ethiopian common translations as decor on the big tables. I would only suggest the honey wine for those who enjoy sweet wines, as it is Ethiopian honey wine, which is delicious but very sweet.

Delish is a fantastic restaurant with great food and superb service. My companion and I had a special request for a vegetarian combo that was not spicy, and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly, with smiles all around. I suggest making a reservation, especially for larger groups. The website made us vegetarians feel welcome, and I wish I lived closer to enjoy more of their delicious offerings. As a long-time vegetarian, I appreciate the variety of non-meat options available. Parking is easy and free on Orcas Street, and they happily accommodated our dietary restrictions without any hassle. Overall, Delish was a delightful dining experience. Ver carta
