Had a waiter named Victor who had a larger than life personality and was absolutely amazing! I come every year for The Doc Ford’s Dry Rub Rib Eye AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Grilled chicken sandwich had blood in it, turned me off to the entire dinning experience. We did not pay for that meal but I felt more should have been offered since the meal at that point was ruined

Our server was and the food also deserved five stars. We sat outdoors, and it was noisy, sort of crowded, and there are no views. I expected to see the ocean or the bay since I was on Captiva. My own fault that I didn't check it out first. We still enjoyed our dinners, but it wasn't a special night although it was our anniversary. The traffic leaving the island was absolutely horrific, which certainly isn't any fault of the restaurant, but it's something to think about when planning a night out. Christmas week is probably the worst time to go to Sanibel unless you are staying overnight! We will probably stick to the Ft Myers location in the future. Ver carta

Birthday celebration with family from out of state. Two dinner orders were entered to the kitchen by the server incorrectly, the guests were Vegan and ordered from the vegan menus and were served pasta with cheese instead. The server laughed and said she wasn’t used to ordering from that menu- apologized when we pointed out the situation wasn’t funny. After a minute wait the correct dinners were served all other people in the party waited to eat together so their dinners were cold. Overall service was slow for each course in any case. As the home Sanibel hosts, we were mortified. We used to frequent Doc Ford’s Captiva, we likely won’t go back.

Our first visit at the Captiva location. Manager impressed us a good leader staying on top of things. The servers were very busy so he made sure we were greeted as soon as we were seated brought our waters himself. Server Zachariah was excellent friendly and efficient. I ordered the fried calamari appetizer together with a lettuce wedge salad as my entree. The calamari serving was huge very good but the seafood sauce tasted more like plain ketchup. The lettuce was rather difficult to manage served on a narrow rectangular plate, but it well dressed. The bacon bleu cheese were spot on. My spouse ordered the clam chowder and the steak cheese sandwich with fries, proclaimed it all very tasty. Wi...

This is our third time to this location and we love the drive from Sanibel to here even though there is a closer location! We have always had good food and friendly service. We usually dine inside because of mosquitos but this time we decided to try outside as the weather was perfect. Live music was a plus. We ordered the Calamari as always along with fish fingers as appetizers. The calamari can easily be shared with or more people and has always been good. The fish fingers were great and our year old ate most of them which is a testament to being good For entree we always get the crusted grouper and Paella as they have been good every time we have visited.
