"The Riverside cafe is a true gem. Coffee and food are very good and fairly priced. Staff are very pleasant helpful. Their beans are excellent. They have some cool ‘accessories’ too love their mug and its design! It is small inside, yes. The outside area is wonderful 3 4 of the year. Great for bikers as it is right on the path. Clean restroom. I usually stay there and relax, read, chat with friends or make new friends. A GREAT addition to Riverside, and I drive from Cranston to visit. No complaints…"

"Food was disgusting, sandwich was hot on the outside and ice cold on the inside. Cheese wasn’t melted at all, ham was sliced very thick. Coffee is mediocre. Matcha was terrible. Atmosphere was nice. Employee at the register couldn’t even answer any of my basic questions about the menu. She also had a strange attitude. I wouldn’t go back"

"We expected a romantic birthday dinner but instead had to ask the women next to us to tone it down. Food was just okay. Mussels for an appetizer had huge shells and small mussels inside with several shells not even open. Our paella was spicy; way too spicy for me and a bit too spicy for my husband. We've had paella before in other restaurants and I could eat it all. I left most of it here. The experience fell way short of expectations and we've decided to cross this restaurant off our list of dinner places in Providence, RI. I'm a member of the Newport Restaurant Reewards program and was extremely disappointed."

"This place is hit or miss. Tonight was a miss- I started with the artisan salad that had peaches and candid walnuts and with a honey blueberry vinaigrette. The salad had two extremely small diced peaches that were toothpick thin and less than an inch long. The salad also had two crumbs of walnuts. I ordered the swordfish and it was not fresh very tough, looked like frozen meatloaf and came out cold. I ended up having to send it back for the salmon which was good but the orzo was hard and dry with dill pairing (but says lemon herb on the menu) which was odd with a sticky glazed salmon seasoning. My friend got the mussels the mango seasoning was tasty but the mussels were sandy and one even had a small pebble in one. Our other guests had the sea bass which was a little overcooked, the lobster ravioli was good as well as the filet with corn and Mac and cheese as sides. Not sure if it was because of them being off for the holiday (July 4) the very next day and the restaurant trying to use up what they had (eluded from the waiter) or if it was just an off night. I’ve had a few good meals here a year ago but also had not so good ones so I am going to give this restaurant a pass for awhile it’s too pricy to not get amazing food"

"Go to Nick's on Broadway instead. We arrived at 10:15 and inquired whether they were open before the disabled member of our party got out of the vehicle. They said they were but we when we got inside they told us the kitchen wasn't open until 10:30, which would be fine except they said we could not sit down until then. They wanted us, including the person in our party who is in a cast, to stand for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant because it was policy! We finally had to leave because she couldn't stand any longer. We spoke to the manager who was incredibly rude, never apologized nor offered our friend in a cast a seat. We went to Nick's on Broadway and had a great meal and great service."
