"I was really pleased with the beer and the atmosphere at this place. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable; she even explained the meaning of "Ecusta" to me. My favorite beer was the Rails 2 Trails Pale Ale. I just wish they sold it in six packs because I would definitely take some home with me!"

A large, small brewery located between Asheville and Mills River and heading towards Brevard. I always recall my visits whenever I'm in the area.

Fun place, great beer! Fun for the whole family, but better if you like good beer. The staff was great, atmosphere was laid back, even for a busy Friday night. Check it out!

Always great beer selection , quality and consistency. So many breweries in NC mountains. Yet this one has a special place for us. Always a low key, good time spot to chill. Especially after some adventures in Pisgah forest. Many days there is a food truck along with snacks inside.

"One of the rudest establishments I have ever been to. I came in a few months ago when visiting my parents in Brevard and the experience was bad then. No acknowledgement from staff even though I walked around a good 40 minutes. Cashier spoke at a decibel I couldn’t hear, but I assumed she said hello. However, I went this past Saturday to see if I could get a bouquet of flowers, much like they have at most grocery stores like Ingle’s or Trader Joe’s, even though the pickings are minimal due to the season. I politely asked a stock person, tall male, medium to thick build with black hair and a bowl cut, working in frozen foods, if they had flowers, explaining clearly I was looking for bouquets or single stems of some sort I could put together. Had he actively listened he would have understood what I was asking, but instead he said, “come with me”. He proceeded to walk me all the way from frozen food to a window that led outside to a patio, pointed, and said “see, um, no, we don’t have flowers”, to which I said “oh, this is where you would keep them?” He didn’t answer but instead, as he was turning to go back to his frozen foods, said “come back in the spring”. It didn’t dawn at me in the moment he was being an intentional a hole, as I was on a mission to get these flowers for my parents anniversary. Then as I walked outside, got in my car and drove off, I thought to myself “was he being a smarta ?” I realized, yes, in fact, he was. A smart is one thing, a misinformed smarta is another. Had he listened, instead of being mad I interrupted his stocking of shredded cheese, he would have understood I was asking for, as I know there won’t be plants or planting flowers this time of year…..We live in a world of minimal customer service nowadays and I’ve adapted. However, egregious intentional rude behavior is unacceptable. Clearly management accepts this type of behavior, as I can’t imagine with his lack of manners this is his first unnecessary interaction with a customer. What a little jerk. I hope you get better Food Matters. Of course, it won’t matter to me, as I won’t be back."
