"The dining experience was fantastic. My wife and I arrived late in the city on Saturday and were craving a salad and pizza. Unable to reach the restaurant by phone, we decided to go there in person. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing time. The restaurant had a cozy seating area by the window and a deck with bar stools where we could relax and enjoy our meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, despite the late hour. We ordered a Margherita pizza, a special pizza with speck, spinach, and feta, and two salads. All the ingredients were fresh and of high quality, making the dishes incredibly delicious. This restaurant is definitely a must-visit for pizza lovers."

"We were pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant—it was fantastic! We ordered a large cake to take home, and it was so delicious that I forgot to snap a picture. What you see are just the leftovers! The service was attentive and quick, and the restaurant itself was clean with a wonderful atmosphere. The bathroom was spacious and well-maintained. There are also some impressive pieces of art adorning the windows and walls that are definitely worth checking out. We're excited to come back and try more items from the menu!"

"Wonderful breakfast restaurant! Great if you are staying right over at Pony Island so you can walk down for breakfast, but I do not think you have to be a resident in Pony Island to eat. The breakfast is great, better than some normal hotel places! Options range from various eggs and omelettes, tacos, French toast, pancakes, and more. Nice selection of juices and coffee is great too. I loved the scramble tacos and egg white/sonoma/taco omelettes. Potatoes and toast as well. I really liked how there were egg white omelettes typically hotels offer only yellow yolk omelettes and no egg white only, and so this was nice having a purely egg white omelette. The banana hotcakes were also good! Didn't get a chance to try the crab and swiss omelette but I need to do so if I come back! Service was excellent! Friendly staff and very helpful. There was a 15 min wait line but it went by fast and food was delivered quickly. Truly an excellent breakfast place 5/5"

"While the food is absolutely amazing and probably the best on the island, the poor service diminishes the experience. Arriving during the Shrimp Hour there were plenty of seats at tables outside but they were not available due to limited waitstaff. We decided to wait 30 minutes for a table and went to the bar to grab a few drinks. After about 15 minutes of being ignored while the bartender served food to those seated we decided to leave, but figured we would place a take out order. Upon returning for the pick up we found 5 different parties inside the tiny waiting area while the hostess took a very long to go order by phone. After she was done she hung up the phone and disappeared for another 5 minutes without saying anything to the guests waiting. Several other guests popped in to see what was going on and eventually left. When the hostess returned she took a to go order from someone who was waiting and then disappeared again! Several more people decided to leave. I finally got her attention and told her I was there to pick up a to go order. I left with the food and saw many faces of frustrated guests who were standing outside waiting. Some communication from the hostess and bartender and help from staff who we could see folding napkins would have been SO helpful."

"After reading so many routing reviews, we had to try Eduardos Taco stand on Ocracoke Island. The stand is conveniently located directly opposite the road from the road to the lighthouse. The outdoor seats are plentiful and comfortable, complete with parasols. The only bad thing about Eduardo’s is that there are so many delicious options, it is really hard to know what to choose. We were a group of eight, so we were able to try a variety of options and while everything was great, we definitely had our favorites. The top of our list were the Shrimp Tacos with salad, pico de gallo and avocados on a flour tortilla. – The spice mixture on the shrimps was complete at the point and the acid of the topping balanced everything was perfect. Next to our list was the Cheesy Grill Shrimp Mango Taco. If you are wondering why, it is cheesy, it is because there are two corn tortillas with cheese in between that are roasted on a grid before the taco ingredients. This Taco was fantastic, but definitely on the richer side. You wouldn't want more than two, and if you had two, you'd be stuffed. My daughter had the chicken and cheese quesadilla... I know what you think: “It’s chicken and cheese, what’s the big thing?” Well, all I can say is that the taste of the grilled chicken was exceptional, and it was the best queen I ever tasted. It even came to diving with salsa and acid cream. What a great place for a great meal!"
