"It was family weekend for NIU, and I flew in to take my family to dinner. They were out of one of the specials, and then they were out with our #2 choice. The Cajun mac and cheese was not good. The sushi was alright. We got a lot (over $200 worth for 4pp), and I can't even remember what else. The place has so much potential, but the food and slow service were disappointing. They were nice enough, but the place could be so much more. Maybe focus on a niche food theme instead of trying to be The Cheesecake Factory."

"This is now one of our favorite places to go for vegan options. We get the Bean Curd Soup that comes with an assortment of vegetables and Tofu. We also get the mushroom fried rice ordered without eggs and the house vegetable deluxe which comes withwhite steamed rice. The staff is excellent and funny and really goes above and beyond for their guests. They were also one ofthe top restaurants when asked who had the best service in DeKalb County Area Restaurant Foodies Group. PS: There is noguarantee that this is made without meat products as most restaurants use the same grills and equipment that cooks meatproducts."

"As a student, I had never eaten at this restaurant before. However, after hearing positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. I must say, out of all the options in Dekalb, this place offers the best pizza in the whole city. It surpasses all other pizza places in Dekalb. The crust is delicious and the ingredients are fresh, creating a truly exceptional pizza. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and inviting."

"We have been wanting to try Maria 's since we moved to Dekalb in June and finally tonight, our family got to celebrate on our 16th wedding anniversary here and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this wonderful gem. Just like out of a scene from Billy Joel 's Scenes from an Italian Restaurant I felt transported. The staff and owner are awesome!. The bread was fresh and the rosemary garlic olive oil with the parm set the mood. The eldest son had spaghetti and three meatballs (HUGE meatballs! , our other son had spinach, pepperoni and garlic pizza, our other son had bread because he just wanted to come and celebrate. I had the killer Bari Pannini and my wife had the Caprese Pannini. I got the parm fries and my eldest had the lemonchello cake. Everything was truly awesome! The atmosphere, ambiance, food, service and prices were all perfect. We 'll be back again. We promise. I feel like we are part of the family now. Visit this place! You won 't be sorry. Don 't listen to the negative Nellys out here who aren 't happy with their own selves. It was pretty epic in our eyes and we moved here from Chicago. We know food. We know Italian. This is good eats and good times."

"We ordered the steak fajitas and a steak burrito with lettuce tomatoes beans and cheese for lunch. Came to $25. I picked up our order and walked back to the job to eat. Only to see we had no salsa verde or ketchup. Walked back to be told salsa verde is extra it doesn?t come with it. Walked back to the job only to open up the containers and see some kind of wet steak wrap they threw together. No seasoning, wet tortilla so wet and falling apart I couldn?t pick it up. and definitely not what I ordered. So I walk back a second time to tell them by now I just want my money back. So while recording the whole thing on my phone the cashier tells me the manager is actually not in but she can give me his number to call. So I had to tell her I knew the manager was there and wasn?t leaving until he came out. 5 minutes later WALLA! The manager comes from the back and proceeds to argue with me about how they don?t wrap their burritos like chipotle. I don?t even eat at chipotle first off. Then looks at it and argues it has tomatoes and lettuce. Okay sir but where?s the beans and cheese and why is it wet? I didn?t order a wet burrito. I had to argue with him for a good 10 minutes that I wanted my money back. No apology or anything. I guess he was more mad than me that I missed my lunch and had to walk back twice. Not authentic Mexican food and very poorly managed. My advice save your time and money and go to Aurora because El Jimadoris definitely not it. Two thumbs down"
