Empanola - Carta

OMG the fusion here in these empanadas is masterful. Good vegan options. The crawfish etouffee was perfect. I had to go back for seconds. Get the chimmichurri and salsa with whatever you get.

This restaurant is ideally located for those shopping on Magazine Street. The empanadas are excellent—not greasy or overly heavy—and they offer some unique options. The place is clean and has plenty of seating. Definitely a must-try!

Enjoyable, although not really authentic empanadas. I had the chorizo and the Peruvian chicken and both were tasty. A nice snack or lunch but given all of the food options in NOLA I found this more a fun something different to try than something I wouldseek out again.

We love Empanadas and happened to pass by right as they opened. These did not disappoint. We had all three of the NOLA ones-shrimp cheese, gumbo, crawfish etouffee. The restaurant was nice to sit and relax. We didn't feel rushed and it was agood place to escape the heat.

It's the New Year, and I'm finally exploring something new! I sampled three different fillings, all of which were excellent. The "hangry" portion was just the right size for dinner. My only suggestion would be to wrap the edges in foil like a pie crust to prevent them from getting overcooked. Two of the edges were a bit tough to bite into without squeezing the filling out, but one was spot on. I will definitely be trying Empanola again to explore more flavors! Ver carta

This cozy little spot has a warm and inviting atmosphere. I really enjoyed the lunch special—it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. The Spinach and Artichoke empanada was absolutely delicious, and the salad was bursting with flavors! I just loved it. The tomato soup was rich and had great texture; it quickly became another favorite of mine. The Bananas Foster dessert empanada was a delightful surprise, and I genuinely loved it. Plus, I thought it was a neat touch to have stamps on each empanada indicating their fillings!

Wow, just wow! We stumbled upon this place while sightseeing on Magazine Street and just wanted to grab something to tie us over until dinner. We didn?t expect it to be so good and unique! There were so many varieties of empanadas and they were stamped withtheir flavor on the outside crust. The flavors we got were very tasty and it was one of the best food experiences we had in NewOrleans. I?d recommend this place to anyone looking for a new and fun experience with delicious food. Also, hats off to the guyworking, he was very chill and knowledgeable.

Date: December 4, 2021 Would I recommend it? Yes. This charming little spot offers a cozy seating area and a fantastic selection of empanadas that showcase local flavors. I tried both of their vegan options: the yellow curry and the Impossible. Each comes with dipping sauces—hot sauce and chimichurri for the vegan versions. I enjoyed the Impossible empanada more than the curry. While the crust was on the softer side and not very flaky, the Impossible filling had a rich flavor, although it might be a bit salty for some. The yellow curry was actually quite delicious and would pair beautifully with a bowl of rice. If I’m in the area shopping, I would definitely swing by for a quick snack. Ver carta
