"I was in the mood for good quality sushi and found Daigo on Yelp. I remember visiting the SF location and remembered it was delicious so I wanted to give this newer location a try. We both had the Omakase with a couple of a la carte items. The 6 fishes that were served to us in the beginning of the Omakase weren't the best. They were mostly bland colored fishes that all tasted the same-rubbery and tasteless. But then it got better. The other items were fresh, buttery and amazing. The Toro and Uni were my favorites of the night. We also had the crispy tempura mushroom with truffled salt, hamachi shooters and monk fish. All were delicious! We also shared a black sesame cheesecake which wasn't the best. It had a pretty dense filling and nonexistent crust. Overall, I'll be back, but I would skip the dessert."

"Most of our party ordered the filet, my medium came pretty medium-rare, another that ordered medium came medium-well, the other seemed to be as ordered. Found the filet nice and tender but not as tasty as I 've remembered it in the past, same w/the sauce--both just missing that wow factor. Consensus on the carrots and broccoli was that they were just plain boring (and tasteless). Bread was delicious, as was dessert (your complimentary birthday ice cream dessert, which was nice that it was large enough to be able to share with others in the party)."

"I live in New York City and was here for work. Despite having access to amazing food in NYC, I am convinced that the chimichurri surf and turf sandwich at this restaurant may be the best sandwich I have ever tasted. Pair it with a side of jalapeno bomb ranch for a perfect lunch. The tri tip is tender, the shrimp has a great texture, and the flavors are perfectly balanced with richness and acidity. The freshly baked ciabatta bread is also exceptional."

"Come for the food and service (and isn't that the most important part? Innovative, beautifully prepared dishes and a varied menu. Glad to be with three eager eaters ready to try anything. Mushrooms and burrata were a surprise favorite--I wanted to swim in it--with the corn pasta a welcome choice by one of us on his third visit. Cornbread? YES! Steak? YES! Lamb meatballs? YES! Only thing that didn't wow us was the sourdough, which didn't shine. Checking in is a bit congested and you may get backed out onto the sidewalk to queue for check in. Nice bar area, but atmosphere otherwise not really remarkable. Gets noisy when fully occupied. But Camper is definitely a keeper and should be in your rotation. We'll definitely be back!"

"The food is always excellent. Fresh ingredients, well prepared, with just the right amount of seasoning and sauces. Always a good variety, so if you're in the mood for meat, chicken, fish, or vegetables, there are many good choices. I have never had anything less than an excellent meal there, and I go there regularly. The service has always been very helpful and knowledgeable. They are extremely attentive. Your water glass will be refilled without needing to ask, and the delicious bread can always be refilled as well. The ambience is perfect, it's almost as though you are being transported to a sidewalk café in Paris. The cost is reasonable, and the owner, Ali always seems to be present and helpful, and there to make sure everything is perfectly run. Without a doubt the best place to go in Menlo Park."
