"I’m going to start this by saying I only leaving rating when a place is horrible or phenomenal. My boyfriend and I went to @marysvine followed by @thestudyatmarysvine just outside of Pittsburgh last night. First, the environment is unique for so many reasons. It doesn’t feel like a chain or that you are simply another number coming through the door. Having such a detailed, rich atmosphere, this place makes you feel special, almost regal. The wine room is beautiful to look at, as are the large windows and church organ. The service is knowledgeable and thorough, looking to make sure you have the best experience possible. The wine list is the largest I’ve seen in the area. Being able to see detailed photos of the seasonal food menu on iPads is wonderful. The food is thoughtful, and frankly, exquisite. The flavor of the pairings still makes my mouth water. Unlike other restaurants, we weren’t rushed, making it feel much more like an experience rather than an exchange. At the end of our meal, we quietly looked at each other and asked each other’s ranking of the evening up to that point. We agreed on 9.25 and couldn’t recall another experience we’ve ranked higher. Following dinner we headed downstairs to @thestudyatmarysvine where the entrance is enough to set the tone for the evening. You enter through a painting into what feels like another time. The smell of leather and cigars fills the air while your eyes look over the detailed couches, walls of books, and humidor. The iPad menu allow you to see the options with a beautiful photo and listed details of each crafted cocktail. You feel both relaxed and rewarded in The Study. As we sat in the leather chairs, we decided the rating jumped to 9.75. Although we feel more people need to know about the experience, we also like that it feels like a well kept secret outside of the city. This place would be perfect for a quality, luxurious birthday, anniversary, or intimate reception. I will absolutely recommend this place to everyone. We will be back. "I love Coast Main! We celebrated two birthdays with friends last night, and everything was delicious. We ordered two Peat Cakes entrées, two Shrimp Scampi entrées, one free-range chicken entrée, and one Tomahawk pork chop with bacon cherry sauce. For sides, we had a wedge salad, a beet salad, a baby mesclun salad, and a garden salad—everything was fantastic! My sister tried the Crab Bisque and said it was extraordinary. For dessert, we enjoyed a peanut butter chocolate cake, banana cake, crème brûlée, vanilla ice cream, chocolate brownie cake, and cheesecake."

"I went with some friends and figured that since it was a vegetarian restaurant, they would be used to modifying things or at least know which dishes are vegan-friendly. I ordered one of the thali plates and asked whether it could be made without milk, raita, ghee, or any other dairy, and our waiter said it could. We also ordered an appetizer sampler plate to share. That was the last I saw of that waiter. Our servers for the rest of the evening were totally unhelpful, and didn 't seem to speak much English. They seemed uncertain about dairy in the samplers. My dish came out with a rice pudding that looked like it contained milk. One of the servers confirmed, and when I complained that I asked for no dairy, he told me to just try a little bit. The quality at All India in Oakland is worse, but at least I know what I can eat there."

"I initially made a reservation for four through OpenTable. I kept trying to see if I could increase the number of guests since we were visiting family, but I was unable to change the reservation to more than seven. I couldn't reach anyone by phone. Though I don't use social media, I was able to check their Facebook page without registering and discovered that the restaurant had closed and been sold! If the rest of our party hadn't decided to join us, we would have arrived at a closed restaurant on my birthday despite having a reservation. This is really disappointing. When they shut down, they should have communicated this clearly on their website and on the sites where they take reservations."

"The restaurant did not live up to expectations, as the lingering smell of cigarette smoke and the cheap plastic decor gave it a trashy bar atmosphere. The food was average at best, with a bland fish sandwich served on a plain Italian bread that was overwhelming. The cabbage rolls were decent but nothing special. Overall, I was unimpressed and ended up paying over $50 for a lackluster meal."
