I visited today with a friend to celebrate Mother's Day. We arrived before the restaurant opened, and there were already several people waiting. Neither of us had been here before...

wonderful food and wonderful view. my only complaint is that the restaurant is upstairs and the elevator was out, so my elderly mother had to climb the stairs. but the food and view were worth it.

Overall experience was good. We did have to wait a long time. My crab legs weren't cooked where they came out clean. For how much we paid for them, I expected them to be right, ya know? Drinks were way overpriced!! I didn't even get buzzed off a $12 drink. That's utterly ridiculous. Other than that, it was amazing to sit outside right on the water. Ver carta

We just moved here and we found this place while exploring Southport. Just the view alone is incredible and deserves 5 stars by itself. Our waitress was McKenzie, she was super sweet to our kids and she kept the refills coming the whole time. The food is SO good, I got the steak and cheese sandwich, husband got the burnt ends (out of this world good), and a shrimp platter, and the kids ordered off the kids menu and they all loved it too. Another thing we noticed was that it was very clean in there, no dirty tables or even under the tables. We just ate here and were seated at the bar with a direct view of the food preparation- it was completely disgusting. The cooks were the only guys wearing gloves so kudos to them. A few other guys were helping to place the biscuits, lemons, etc on the plates and then on the serving trays- and not only were they the ones not wearing gloves while directly touching everyone’s food, we actually witnessed one of the guys rubbing his eyes and nose, wiping his hands on his shorts, and at one point dropped his phone in the biscuit tray. Two meals that have been disappointing. Both times we had servers who seemed like they really didn 't want to be there. Other staff came to our table to see if there was anything we needed, while our waitress was standing around talking. The first visit the food was OK. We had calamari and salads. Not much to mess up, but still average. The second time we both had the fish and shrimp. The shrimp was OK but my fish was undercooked and was clearly freezer burned. My wife said hers was OK. I was going to complain but waitress was MIA. So, won 't be back. Two other issues: first, it may be me, but there are a lot of people with crew shirts standing outside smoking on the back deck.
