"On my first visit, I tried the Southern Shrimp and Grits, which were simply amazing—stone-ground cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp, enhanced by a flavorful mix of peppers and bacon. Chef Jeff and his team use fresh sirloin in their chili, and it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The food is exceptional, and the concept behind it is truly inspiring. I now volunteer here regularly. Chef Jeff and his wife, Julie, have a mission: "Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so that they may 'taste and see that the Lord is good'” (Psalm 34:8). Customers can choose to: 1) pay what they can afford, 2) pay the standard price for a similar restaurant, or 3) pay a little extra to help those who are less fortunate. This creates a beautiful and fulfilling experience. They are open for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. If you’re pressed for time, I recommend making a reservation and letting the hostess know. Diners are seated using a "paced method" to ensure the volunteer staff isn’t overwhelmed, but any wait is certainly worth it! Be sure to try the pour-over coffee or refreshing lemonade, and sample small plates like bruschetta or farro salad, as well as main dishes such as the apple bacon sandwich, crispy potatoes, burgers, shrimp and grits, and chili. And don’t overlook the dessert—it’s indulgent! I can’t express enough how much I adore this place!"

"I'm not a big coffee drinker, any more than dunkin or Starbucks, so I was a little intimidated by the menu. But the staff here is ammmmazzing. They know the drinks inside and out, can explain all the flavors, gives suggestions base on what you like/dislike. Super friendly and helpful with people walking in and not knowing what they are looking for/at. I chose a seasonal cold brew drink (Blue Man Brew). 5 out of 5 for sure. I could taste every ingredient/highlight. Notes of blueberry. Oat milk. Etc. Super smooth. Not overly sugary or heavy. My date got one of the drip options and loved it. The atmosphere is perfect for just about everything you would want to do at a coffee shop. Sit by yourself and study. Bring a friend/date for an intimate 1 on 1. Definitely a spot I would visit again. A designer cocktail take on coffee without the bougie vibe that you would expect to come with it."

"How many places do you visit where you actually want to know their names? This is that place… and I’m terrible with names. From alex, Olivia , alissa, toby, Carolyn, Josey … and i know I’m forgetting a lot , but all great folks. Drinks and food always great, even impresses my coffee snob friends. Nice relaxed spot to hang out /or work, definitely worth bypassing that ‘bucks and supporting a local business. They have one in grapevine that’s great, too."

"Our server was amazing! She recommended a few sushi rolls and we decided to go with the Tidal Wave, which did not disappoint. In fact, everything we ordered was fantastic. We also tried the mango crab rangoon and edamame, and I could have easily eaten 20 rangoons. Along with the Tidal Wave, we also ordered the Hawaiian Roll and Red Crunch. The Dragonfruit Lemonade was delicious. To finish off our meal, we had the tempura fried ice cream with raspberry sauce, which tasted so fresh. Thank you for the wonderful meal. We are new to Texas and are so happy to have found this restaurant. It had been a whole year since I last had sushi! We will definitely be back soon - maybe even tomorrow! Haha."

"Después de darnos solo las opciones de 7:15 o 7:45, no 7:30 como queríamos. Cuando llegamos para nuestra reserva de las 7:15 nos hicieron esperar media hora. Aunque se disculparon, no nos ofrecieron un café gratis después de la cena ni ningún otro tipo de disculpa tangible. Ese tipo de servicio no anima a volver a visitarlo. El resto del servicio fue bueno, aparte del camarero tratando de sugerir el Dom Perignon Champagne por $ 350 (no nos dijo el precio)."
