I cannot comprehend how this restaurant has received so many stars. We ate there and it was absolutely disgusting!!!!!

I am usually known for my negative reviews, but I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the portion sizes are generous, the prices are reasonable (especially given the current circumstances), and the barbecue is excellent.

I love this place!! The chopped brisket is my fav!! So glad I found this!! Update 4/29: I read a review about how they will say open and they are closed. Well that happened to me today. Drove 30 minutes for disappointment. I walked back to my car a worker comes out and gives someone what appears to be to go orders. I asked if they were open and she said “not right now” and ran off. Meanwhile, I went next door to Zavala’s and the line was out the door and I must say it was worth the wait! Come on Gordon’s do better, I always recommend y’all to people. Ver carta

Let's start with the restaurant itself - this is mainly a message for the owner: Clean up! I cannot stress this enough to you, please! Now, onto the food - everything in the pictures looked great and the presentation was nice, but there was no flavor at all. I would advise the owner to taste the food once in a while. I couldn't taste anything, even though everything was cooked well. The beans had no flavor at all, which is surprising because it's the simplest food to flavor. The bathrooms were also terrible - there is black mold on the ceiling and the toilets are disgusting. If that looks bad, imagine what the food says about the restaurant. Yesterday we had Gordo's smoke a brisket for us. DELICIOUS! Tender and juicy with awesome flavor. It has so much flavor we don't even have to add BBQ sauce to eat it. We do our own smoking every once in a while but love having Gordo's do it for us because the end result is incredible and we don't have to watch a smoker all night. We order take out from them every few weeks. I love the brisket and sausage. I love their ribs too, but due to availability they haven't had ribs for a while. My wife always gets chopped beef sandwich combo and it has so much meat on it she makes two meals out of it. The staff is always friendly and smiling. I don't know what other reviewers problems are but we LOVE...

Now let's go to the food everything on picture looks great presentation looks great just no flavor at all, none at all.
