"dubois is by far the most beautiful little caffe you can imagine. eating is absolutely delicious....as the kitchen of her mother, but much better (visual mama). the personal is so friendly and efficient, and they really care for their customers. dubois is a little shady that is worn away and only waits for who has not yet experienced this oasis of deliciousness!"

"We were 3 couples together for a pre theatre dinner seated in a smaller room off the bar area. As our meal went on, a party of at least 12, a party of 3 and a party of 2 were also seated in this room. The party of 12 were celebrating a birthday, I believe, and became outrageously loud. We could not hear our own conversations, so a gentleman in our party went over and politely asked if they could keep it down. He was followed by the gentleman in the party of 3 asking the the same thing. The large party was a bit snarky in their reply, but did keep it down a bit, although it was still too loud. We do not blame the large party they have a right to celebrate loudly and we have a right to have a quieter dining experience. The restaurant should have seated us (and the other smaller parties elsewhere and allowed the large party to have the room. I know for a fact that the 2 couples with us will never return to Fishbones, nor will they recommend it to their friends because of this incident. It was the first time at the restaurant for both and both eat out very frequently. Four of us had the Duck Confit which was good, however, a bit too smokey without balancing that flavor. The Lobster with Pea Ravioli was better. On a positive note, the Salmon was fabulous as was the bread basket mixture, the oysters and the salads (although, the burrata and tomato salad should have been served at room temperature not cold! . Our waitress was terrific!"

"Excellent local gem. Great food customer service. Very attentive patient, with my 2.5 year old daughter. One waitress pretended to fly into space in their make believe rocket. When my daughter accidentally dropped her plate with Minnie Mouse pancakes. They were quick to offer more pancakes. I declined. I was able to safe an ear she wasn't going to eat much more. Waitress came by with some whipped cream turned it into a smiling face. My daughter loved it. We, the adults, had their special, Cowboy Frying Pan (hash, home fries onions, topped with baked beans 2 poached eggs, your choice of toast coffee...my taste buds were in heaven. Coffee was constantly being refilled! There was a bit of a wait to get seated but, it was well worth it!"

"I absolutely love this restaurant! My partner and I visited twice in one month during our short trip to Maine. We highly recommend it! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is delicious. I enjoyed every item on the menu that we ordered. On Wednesday nights, they offer a special deal on mixed drinks for women, which I found to be a nice touch. The standout dishes for me were the liver and onions, which were incredibly flavorful and came in a generous portion size, and the French onion soup, which was also very tasty. The restaurant is child-friendly, with coloring books and crayons available for kids to play with."

"I've been going there for years now and this is the first time the food was of such poor quality. I ordered two Pad Thai dishes and they both were sub par from what I expect from there. Regular Pad Thai, with beef had very little flavor and was on the bland side, like they forgot to add an ingredient. The Spicey Pad Thai was terribe, I only ate a few bites. The heat was fine but it didn't even taste right. The broccoli was very tiny and tasted off and there was hardly any real pad thai taste. A real disappointment. It will be a while before I go there again."
