"our birthday dinner experience in gyu kaku naperville was okay. we have enjoyed most food, and the package offers that they have made the order easy. we ordered the yakiniku party for 4 people. we ordered in addition to the package 2 the main problems we had were the slow food service, and the substitutions were made without asking us (see below.) ultimately, because of the problems we were offered a 15% discount from the entire meal without asking what was very appreciated. but I wouldn't return to this place again, and next time one of her stallions will try in chicago. Subsitutions: one of the sushi reels in the packaging was not available so that it replaced its spicy cucumber appetizers and we ordered takoyaki on the side that was subbedded for fried calamari. because we had ordered the package when these courts arrived, we did not know that it was substitutions and not a part of the package, since no one has said anything about anything that is not available, and in a case the waiter tried to convince us that what the fried calamari was."

This is the second time I’ve visited this location we usually go to the West Loop location. Our server was so nice and helpful, but our meal was just OK. We ordered the dinner for two and two of the meats were inedible not just fatty but gristly. We had to spit most of it into our napkins and I just threw away our leftovers. Disappointing for a $100 dinner tab.

We made a reservation but still had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated. It took an incredibly long time for the raw meat to be brought to our table, and there was no preparation needed on their part. When it came time to settle the bill, it was collected by the usher instead of our server. After that, the server never returned to acknowledge the tip or to thank us or say goodnight—nothing. This was a disappointing experience in terms of customer service.
