"This was our very first visit to Kansas, so of course, we were not familiar with any of the restaurants. We knew we wanted barbecue and after reading several positive reviews, we chose the Hickory Stik and man it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork and ribs with a bunch of sides. The portions we ample and enough for the 3 of us to share amongst each other. My favorite was the brisket and the fried okra. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy and all of the employees were very friendly and professional. We highly recommended the Hickory Stik and hope to visit again soon. MAHALO!"

"They now accept debit and credit cards! The most authentic tacos in the midwest that i have ever had. The red roja salsa is very spicy and the verde green salsa is mild. Everything is made fresh to order. I had the al pastor pork tacos with cilantro and onion and my partner had the birria beef brisket tacos. The birria was flavorful and the sauce juicy and the beef was soft and the taco shell was also soft and delightful. The spicy red salsa pairs well with it. The al pastor meat was tender savory and flavorful. The tortilla was fresh and soft. The green salsa wasnt too spicy. It tastes homemade and authentic. The place seems family owned and operated. The tacos take approximately 15 minutes to make but its so worth the wait. We saw about 3 call ins pick up their meals while we ordered and waited inside."

"This restaurant has the best chilaquiles in town, without a doubt. Everything is consistently great here, but today was my first time trying their breakfast menu. It was so delicious, I highly recommend it. 10/10. The service, take-out options, and atmosphere all receive top marks as well. For breakfast, expect to pay between $10-20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a perfect score of 5."

"We love coming here! The fried flour tacos are HUGE! The chips and salsa are unique because they use flour tortillas and I prefer those! The salsa is spot on and has the right zip! My husband always orders a burrito and no matter what meat he chooses, they are huge! You order at a counter, they bring your food out to you when it 's ready, which is usually pretty quick! The atmosphere is pretty basic, all tables and chairs, no frills or ambiance but that 's not necessary as the food is why people come! The walls are decorated with the restaurant 's family photos over the years and its legacy as an icon of great Mexican food in our community at The Anchor Inn .Wheelchair accessibility: It 's accessible"
